Groundhopping Owl
I'm guessing we'll probably have a similar outlay to last summer, in the region of £10 million. It would be madness to shell that out all on one player, however brilliant McCormack is.

alanharper
Could you ever have imagined a couple of years ago, that people would be arguing on Owlstalk about whether or not Ross McCormack would be good enough for us and where we'd play him in our team? Thank you Dejphon.

waddleisgod
I think played together Hooper and McCormack would be a fantastic pairing, but I just can't see up paying 10+M for 1 player nor would I want us to tbh

Swiss Toni
Ross McCormack Good goalscorer = Yes Worth more than £10 million = No Would fit into our preferred system = Unsure
pickledegghiderman
Would zach clough be a better option? Would cost a fraction of the price of mccormack, may well improve a load in the right team and would hold value if we get to the prem and we deem him not quite good enough and decide to move him on

You should be comparing McCormack with Nuhiu and João...and the conclusion would be that we should sign him! of course it is... the biggest stumbling bloc to any mccormack signing might well be fulham's unwillingness to sell unless the price is top dollar... what next the reason we shouldn't sign messi is he could be about to break both legs in training, very much a 'if' this, and 'if' that scenario... we need a very capable replacement for nuhiu, to provide a plan B option for attacking... to either offer a man who can run the channels, or be an effective arial target... now IF we got one who could do both, what a find... That surely suggests this "type" of player suits our personnel and approach. Therefore, if we got a higher quality player of this "type", I would imagine great things next season. whilst stats are not to be taken as total proof... they are pretty conclusive in these cases... parkerowl
Not read the article but if the best striker in the league becomes availible and you can afford to sign him, you sign him, or someone else will and be promoted instead.
Dutch McLovin
Personally I think that kind of money is best spent on someone we can take to the premiership Conor Wickham !!!!

Chazgswfc
McCormack scored 21 goals last season in a crap team. Imagine how many he could score in a decent team. Sign him up.
Daavies;
McCormak scored 21 goals and got 10 assists last year and you've written an article on why we shouldn't be getting him in. It's going to be a long summer.
