3 players for next season?

Recommended Posts

Jonathan Kodjia

John Egan

Alan Judge

Them three would turn us into genuine promotion fodder

Probably would cost us about 12 million but we need to spend big to compete next season

Westwood

Hunt

Lees

Egan

Pudil

Matias

Lee

Bannan

Judge

Kodjia

Forestieri

Knockaert as Judge out until Xmas, Assombalou now fit and scoring again Plus a tall centre forward, beast of a ball winner in midfield, giant centre half and class left back.

That should put us in top 2

Judge/knockeart

Gestede

If limited to three. Think judge would be more likely than knockeart but not sure he'll be fully fit by end of the transfer window so could be a gamble. Would also need a new lb as what we have that are currently ours are not good enough. The players above fill the positions that in my eyes are our priority positions this summer.

A first team of

Westwood

Hunt

Lees

Hurchinson

new lb

Judge/knockeart

Guadioura

Bannan

Forrestieri

Hooper

Gestede

Would IMHO be a 1st 11 that would be better placed to challenge for automatic than the team that started on Saturday.

If all of you wanting Judge with a double leg fracture would kindly form an orderly queue, I can take y'all out with one bullet. More efficient that way. Ta.

Be a great spine of the team , With Andre Gray now gone (and not including relegated sides coming down), Nahki Wells is the best striker in this league now IMO but we've got Hooper and we need a big powerful forward so would go for Kodjia.

Last year's business (includes January)

Foreign with no experience of Championship

Matias, Joao, Sasso, Lachman, Bus, Lopez, Melo

Players with Championship experience

Bannan, Forestieri, Hooper, Turner, Wiggins, Bennett, Hunt, Pudil, Wallace.

Conclusion: Foreign contingent did not hit the ground running and contributed relatively little on balance in terms of financial outlay.

After one year to get used to Championship hopefully Matias and Joao will push on. Lopez appears to be going back to Celta Vigo.

Next season we need players that are ready to go and make an impact earlydoors.

Players with Championship experience had a considerable impact, though Hooper and Forestieri were big money signings and this was to be expected. Only a couple of turnips here, Wiggins and Turner.

In addition we brought in a couple of players from Prem, McGeady and Vermijl and could have saved considerable sums of money for our trouble. Overall conclusion, buy proven players at Championship level.
