Fighting yesterday?

Recommended Posts

Always some idiots when you've got 70,000 people come together.

Have to say the fans that were at The Nags Head in Covent Garden yesterday pre-game were fantastic. All in good voice, all in good spirits and not a hint of trouble - albeit the homeless man, who was wearing a Wednesday top and downed a bottle of whisky in one go, had to be carried off by the Met after slashing on the floor.

A superb day out, Wednesday fans truly are the best.

There was a bit of 'handbags' going on up in block 528 but I missed how it started. Bit of shoving & mouthing off - no fisticuffs tho

I was in that block. When hull scored a guy stood up and turned to all the Wednesday fans behind him a started accusing them of 'giving up' and not been true supporters. He then decided to encourage us all to stand up get behind the team by calling everyone in the block "a pack of w**kers".

We were chatting to a Bobby after (squadron leader in charge of the grass areas near the green man) who said we were the best losing fans he'd seen at Wembley. No trouble at all really, he thought it was surreal. He said they turned up at the green before the game and saw they'd already lost the battle against people drinking in public so let them, gave up on that as there was no trouble. Were just clamping down on flares as it's illegal to set them off within a certain distance of a highway.

Only bit of trouble I saw yesterday was before the game near the Hull fan park when a Hull fan who'd had waaaaay too much to drink grabbed a Wednesday supporting lass by the hair and looking like he was going to hit her before the one or two brain cells he did have told him to think better of it.

Police quickly moved in.

Doubt he'd have seen the game.

We were in the moon on the hill pub in Narrow before the game and scrapping between owls fans at 2pm couldn't be blamed on the booze they had not been in long

Stopped two fights, one in green man between two youths when one of them turned table over after it had collapsed and knocked into the other youth, and one inside seconds after kickoff. Think one bloke said something to his son then they were about to go at each other.

There were some very tense people about. Imagine getting kicked out in the 1at minute of the play off final, wow

Couple of Wednesday fans gave three Hull lads a bit of fist just a couple of hundred yards from ground going to happen with so many unhappy fans

Was that about an hour after the game? Think I saw that.

I saw a lad fighting gravity outside our hotel bar last night.  At one point gravity was winning and he was crawling on all fours but he got the better of it after a couple of minutes.

Didn't see any trouble all day

Just laid out on the greens outside before

Went in the ibis after, wednesday fans made a great atmosphere in there

A few Hull fans came in, wasn't any element of animosity

Was good to see

when coming out the ground there was a hull fan sprawled out across the railings on the Wednesday side of the ground, leaning back with sunglasses on looking as smug as hell. I saw a Wednesday fan go up to confront him which was a bit much.

Didn't see any scrapping but was a bit embarrassed by some of our fans throwing beer cans at some Hull coaches as they drove through before the match.

Had a pint in the Novotel bar on Wembley way after the game. Owls and Hull fans mixing together just fine.
