dont bring your car to wembley

Recommended Posts

I used to live in Uxbridge - this would be a good option for those who look at parking further out as mentioned on earlier posts. Come down M40 follow it until the end - take the 2nd exit going into Uxbridge, up the ramp take the 3rd exit follow it along you'll be on the B483 ( DUAL CARRIAGE WAY )  for probably half a mile big cricket ground on your left through the trees take the right at the roundabout ( Uxbridge college on left ) this is BELMONT ROAD - follow to bottom Sainsburys on left then you will turn left onto YORK ROAD. You'll see the centre & can park there.

This is part of the shopping centre there, open 6am-1am & will cost you max of £15 by the looks of it. The tube station which is on the end of the Metropolitan line is adjoining to the shopping centre. Tube to Wembley is 30 mins - not sure of cost these days ( if youve got an oyster card that will help ).  If your one who's not driving then there's spoons 1 minute from the tube station:

Also other boozers within distance of the tube station. I remember in 1993 a fair few wednesday fans took this option into London. Also another option is Hillingdon which the tube station ( met line next up from uxbridge ) is practically on the bridge of the A40 underneath ( less  than 1 mile from above junction ). If you come off at the Junction ( swakeleys from memory ) and park within reach - look either side of the bridge which goes over the A40, this is Long Lane street parking could be an option off on side streets. There's a pub at the station, cant remember the name just going off google earth here.

Hope this helps :)

Just park at Watford. Trains every 10 minutes, takes 15 minutes. Absolute breeze. Quicker coming out as well.

Last time I was at the arena it was a nightmare getting out of Wembley

Two sets of fans going the same direction aswell

Hope they put on extra transport

There is some free on street parking around the stadium, but few & far between, as the OP says.

You can park on street & pay in some areas too. The main thing to look out for are the little signs on the lampposts etc. Restrictions apply on a day to day basis, but there are also exceptions 'on event days', as the signs say. Also, some streets are permit holders only.

Bit of a minefield, but it can be done. Just read the signs, or the front of the pay & display machines carefully.

WTF:
