WayneTheOwl
The only thing what will be a downfall tonight is those damn corners. We were very lucky not to have conceded twice from them. We simply cannot defend them for whatever reason. As long as we don't give or gift them corners we should have no problems at all. As for them smashing us from the start, I actually think we might be up and at them to begin with to try and grab that 3rd goal. They probably expect that we are expecting that and might just have a little plan not to. The first 20 minutes will be good viewing.
owlZfan84
Yep, I certainly agree re: corners. They have Dunk back tonight too who is big threat. for this reason alone, I think AN9 will start tonight. Edited May 16, 2016 by owlZfan84
oh_weds_we_love_you
They've not managed to score in the 3 games against us this season (with 6 straight clean sheets against Brighton), so we can't be too bad at defending their corners. From memory, only one corner troubled us on Friday night - and it was a great delivery and they hit to post.

I wish people would stop saying they haven't scored against us in 3 games! it has no bearing on what potentially will happen tonight. We hadn't scored against them in 2 games but we grabbed 2 goals. Just because they didn't score previously doesn't mean they won't tonight.
dw_sheffwed
João is good at defending corners, maybe start with him for his pace and height

It is a stat to highlight that we don't seem to have a problem defending their corners when people seem to think we do.

It doesn't mean they won't score though. Yes it's positive, it looks like we can contain them but all it takes is one player to lapse concentration for a split second and they are right back in this fixture. The effort that hit the post for example, 2-3 inches to the left and that ricochets back in box for anyone to stick away/own goal etc. I ain't gonna get complacent and still take there attacking threat for what it is. Highest goal scorers in the league. Albeit injuries affecting them now.
WayneTheOwl
The first one what hit the post and then one a few minutes later, free header which should have been buried. It is a genuine worry for us and I hope Carlos has worked on this the last few days. They were pretty damn good deliveries to be fair so I couldn't even say Westwood should be coming out for them. I have to say that as an offensive tactic, we are poor when taking them. Our centre halves don't even score once in a blue moon. Lees scored against Charlton and I can't remember another goal this season! Other teams, for whatever reason, look more dangerous at these set piece situations. Against Brighton we nearly conceded twice early on within a couple of minutes of each other. One header hit the post, the second went narrowly wide of the left hand post.
