SBOwl
Really? I have seen numerous posts saying how Brighton will have to go for it and attack us and we can play counter attacking football which is what we are best at. I can't really remember many games this season where we have played on the defensive and punished teams on the counter, especially away from home. I always think we are best when we have time and space to play the ball around and press teams. Can anyone think of an example where we have played brilliant counter attacking football and put teams to the sword this way, or any particular goals that have come from a quick break? (Only Birmingham springs to mind) I really hope we are best on the counter, but can anyone justify these comments? (Not having a go, just genuinely interested)

Guest trusty_left_peg
Bristol City at home, first game. McGugan clears off the line, goes down the other end and scores after some great team build up.

Brighton will have to attack which hopefully will give us a bit of space to play our own game.
whatdial
We are good on the counter. Would love to know how many of our goals have started from a punt or quick throw out from Westwood. We always have a chance even with two smaller players like hooper and FF up front from these.
Ever the pessimist
For all our clever ball players we are not too pacey which hinders counter attacking somewhat.

Blueblood
I'm pretty sure we've scored quite a few goals and had quire a few chances from counter attacks. We've got the ability to break really quickly
Swiss Toni
I think it's because we often don't dominate possession which makes people think we are a counter attacking team.

Daavies;
fortunately for us, we've got the players throughout our squad to do both styles.
BD2OWL
fortunately for us, we've got the players throughout our squad to do both styles. No, no we just don't play counter attacking football. This thread is ridiculous, and it make me wonder how much of Wednesday the OP has actually seen this season.
