StudentOwl
Not too sure about that. Both Hunt and Palmer are young right backs, and both have played their part in producing record-equaling, back-to-back clean sheets in the past two seasons. But if any player we sign is better than what we've already got, then no complaints at all! Jack Hunt will be 26 by the end of next season's campaign Liam Palmer will be 25 in September Not saying they're old, but they're not 'young' any more and unless they follow an unusual development curve will not drastically improve from where they currently sit. The clean sheet record is good, but they've both been largely carried by one of the best centre back pairings the Championship has seen over the last two years. Assuming both Hunt and Pudil remain ours, we need another RB and LB ideally both of Pudil's standards because, and I know not everyone agrees, Palmer has not got what it takes to be a member of a GOOD Championship squad. Add on that we want to end up in the Prem by the latest this time next year, we need to get rid and get someone else in.

You can't carry players at the top end of the Championship. Both have made big contributions to a very solid defence, and both are still learning what Carlos wants them to do for us. But, both of course can be improved on and if Carlos finds better players, then by all means get them in!
torryowl
Strange that someone is happy to sign for us without knowing what league we will be in, but very exciting nonetheless.he'd know how much his contract is worth which probably makes him very happy ..... David1867
This would be a good signing. He is a very good right back, fairly quick and experienced. Definitely an improvement.
Guest Kagoshimaowl
Agreed that unfortunately Palmer isn't goodbye enough. A rob to challenge Hunt and the same at lb for Pudil is vital
