TODAY’S OPPOSITES

Last game of the season. Except it isn’t. There’s still games to come against MYSTERY OPPOSITES, but more about that next week.

Anyway…

Wolverhampton Wanderers are probobarbly the most successful professional Football Club in the world, having won the European Cup on no fewer than 127 occasions and the World Super Cup quite often.

The 'Wolves' as they are wittily referred to by their millions of supporters worldwide, can be seen huffing and puffing and blowing the houses down of  the opposition 0 - 0 at their magnificent ground the Molineux which is the finest stadium in Wolverhampton, with the possible exception of the Aldersley Leisure centre on the outskirts of the town.

Molineux Stadium is situated on Waterloo Road and has four stands, three named after players who have become legendary at the club - Derek Dougan, Derek Dougan and Derek Dougan and one after a former director called Jack 'Big Leggy' Harris.

The stadium has been graced by such footballing legends as Derek Dougan, Derek Dougan and Noddy Holder. Many supporters still yearn for the halcyon days of Derek Dougan, Derek Dougan and Noddy Holder but the current squad is as good as any of its predecessors and can boast many household names including Danny Batth and some others that I can’t remember the names of.

Wolverhampton is also considered a leader in many other sports. The two hundred yard sprint is a particular favourite and local athletes have developed their own version, performing this event with a DVD player under each arm.

There's also Susanne who was from Wolverhampton and she had a smashing bum. I saw it when she was just 19 after escorting her home from the Limit club, but that was a long time ago and you probabarbly wouldn't want to look at it now.

THE SERIOUS BIT

Venue: Molineux Stadium. Wolverhampton.
Kick Off: Saturday the 7th of May at 15:00

Matchday Apparel: Away Shirt. Sun cream. No Mellotrons.

Matchday Pub: For the next 16 Pint challenge, the Squire of Preston recommends another tip-top hostelry from his bulging contact list. According to t'Squire, "A lively ten minute skip from Molineux we have just the job for the travelling legions at the Moon under Water, a large music-free Wetherspoons close to the station serving a variety of cask ales including cask lagers.

There aren't that many piiss-stained giro-ettes outside to give the location away but with its long Babylonian facade, on the high street, you can't miss it. With a simple menu the beer and burger combo is recommended as the landlady is reknowned for her hand-shandies and just loves to see you gulp it down then getting stuck into her famous big burger."

The Moon Under Water can be found here:

53-55 Lichfield Street,
Wolverhampton WV1 1EQ

Probobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobarbly.

Matchday Pie: Wolf and Mushroom.

Matchday Song: Turn The Music Up by The Players Association…

MATCHDAY FACTS

Courtney Love is available for Wolves despite being disciplined for leaking on next season's kit and playing in an awful grunge rock band on the side. Mike Williamson (hip replacement), Michal Zyro, Jordan Graham and Nouha Wee Pipe o (shaving accidents) are all out for the season finale.

Sheffield Wednesday will rest Sam Hutchinson, Fernando Forestieri, Gary Hooper, Keiren Westwood, Barry Bannan and Kieran Lee. Ross Wallace is suspended and Sam Hutchinson might sneak on to the pitch anyway, when Owls coach Carvalhal isn’t looking.

â–ª Wolves have lost just one of their last 12 home league games against the Owls, winning six (D5).

â–ª The Owls won this fixture 4-1 earlier this season at Hillsborough - they haven't done the double over Wolves since the 1932-33 season.

â–ª Should Wolves draw this game 0-0, they will become the first team in Football League history to draw five consecutive home games 0-0.

â–ª Sheffield Wednesday have drawn 15 league games 0-0 since the start of last season, the most in the top four tiers.

â–ª Sheffield Wednesday have won more points from behind than any other team in the league this season (17).

â–ª Lucas Joao has scored more goals as a substitute than any other player this season in the Championship (5).

My prediction: We will win 3 - 0 and finally get to see a last minute McGugan free kick from 35 yards, which will hit the bar, bounce off the goalies head and into the net. Ooooooooh!

KING CARLOS’ WORDS OF WISDOM

I am popping once more onto the Owlstalk and see that you are having a thread about me again.

You are having the concerns about our play off games. I am not. There is no pressure, my team they do not feel the pressure. We are concentrating on the the outward game at the Wolfer and I will be there. To be certain. I am also a part of this Wednesday team. A team is not just the eleven men on the field, there is the bench also my staff and our massive fans. This is the team. We will go to the Wolfer and try for the three points, of this I am absolutely sure.

Also, I am bringing the good news! I have now tried the famous pork pie of England. My new friend the Tony Mowbray did not send me one from his family bakery as he promised so I am going to the Marks and the Spencer myself to buy this delicacy. It is very delicious with the HP sauce, but not so much with the ketchup as recomemmended by the Lee Bullen. But I am told that the Scottish are putting the ketchup on everything. I have asked the club's doctors and nutritionists if the players can be having the small half time pork pie. We will be doing the test at the Wolfers this Saturday. See you there.

Nice one Pauli, another great informative thread..

Let's not forget they also like a bit of Bully (think that was Steve Bull, their eqivalent of our Sir David, just not as good)...

I think we'll put out a slightly "reduced" team but we should still have enough....

C'mon WEDNESDAY !

It'll be a sad state of where they are if our reserve team nick a win.

On their forums they're on about how to build for promotion next year, but if their first team doesn't put our reserves away easily then they might want to try again with the predictions.

Hi Boys & Girls, What a week it's been. My agent has done his pieces regarding the time I've spent in

Europe of late, he really upset me and called me some very nasty names. In part I sympathised but I really have got the Wednesday bug. Anyway to appease him I cancelled my trip to Scotland and headed back to dear

old NYNY post-17101-0-13224500-1462581688.png

But only with the proviso that little old post-17101-0-37276900-1462581772.jpgTay Tay could be back for the play offs starting next Friday. So it's another ridiculous start time for me in the morning watching on the TV in my apartment. Understand Carlos resting the boys for the play offs but feel whoever plays will do their best to get a result.

So, another great piece from Pauli, Apologies to Nev for missing Wolverhampton Big kisses to you both X X

UTO WAWAW Love to you all and I'll be there on Friday BFN Tay Tay x x x

Pauli we have such a lot (little) in common, probably 6 or 7 years before Susanne. She used to come up to the Pent House on Wednesday nights we got on quite well and always managed a snog and fumble. She lived in Bilston and invited me down but I just couldn't handle it turning into anything more as her name was Ethel. How on earth do you introduce an Ethel to your mates lol

PS off to bed now.

PPS BTW the kick off is 1230 not 1500 lol

Morning.

Nice one Pauli.

What a great season it has been.  Hopefully our reserves will do them over.  I'm sure plenty of players will be chomping at the bit to be involved in the playoffs.

A 2-1 Wednesday win coming up.  McGugan and Matias with the goals.

TO VICTORY!!

COME ON WEDNESDAY!!!
