Just seen that and thought exactly the same. Typical.

richowl
That's not true. If we'd have lost 7 points in the last 3 could have done Cardiff. Now if they beat us they still must win final day Cardiff had to win their last 3 games to get in. We could have lost today & away at wolves & got in if we avoid defeat v cardiff. Our goal difference is +11 on cardiff.
mattitheowl
People saying the pressure on Cardiff couldn't be more wrong. They've got nothing to lose. They are the outsiders and can just play their game. We're the favourites and mathematically odds on for the play-offs. The ref will be so desperate to show he's not a homer we'll get nothing. If we don't score in the first half the crowd will get really really edgy too which is never good. It's going to be a belter, basically the play-off quarter final. I can't wait. Just not bothered... alanharper
Our point today was important. If we hadn't got it and they beat us next week, then a loss for us at Wolves and a point for them at home to Birmingham would have been enough Now no matter what they need to beat Birmingham and if it got that far should that happen we must win as well Our point today ultimately made little difference, as our superior goal difference effectively acted as that extra point anyway. Owls_fan_since_1983
It will be our turn next week to get a last minute winner, it be nice to win without needing a last minute winner. sooner get the last minute winner if we get Wembley in the final. Up the Owls.
alanharper
Would Wednesday have been awarded that penalty at all, let alone in the 95th minute? Would we balls, our man would've prob got a yellow card as well. We should still be good enough to clinch 6th but if we don't some of the ridiculous decisions we've had go against us will look even worse. j17tjp
It's as we should've expected. Tougher game for us Vs Derby Easier game for them Vs 10 man relegated bottom of the league shyt Next week is the match that we need to treat like a cup final. Can't afford to sit back, shouldn't want to play for a draw. The stadium & the players know know awaits them if we get behind them from the very first kickoff, to the very last dodgy pen given to Cardiff for absolutely no reason after FF gets 2 more yellows... we'll be finishing in 6th ! Guest The Horse
Said in another thread that the penalty would be soft as shiite. What a flipping surprise.

Could be important, if we lose next week, on the final day, we can lose, Cardiff draw, The point then keeps us ahead.
The Night-Owl
I don't see what we can do in regards to referee decisions, apart from taking it on the chin and getting on with it. It happens far too frequently but up and down the country refs make good and poor decisions. Their penalty rubs salt into the wounds. Complaining about it just seems like it makes it worse. The ball is still firmly in our hands. Just 1 point against Cardiff or 1 win will be enough. Slip ups against bottom half teams and not putting the Ipswich and MK Dons games to bed could prove costly, but the same could be said for Cardiff against some of the bottom teams and the come from behind point back at their place was massive. We should scrape over the line but whatever happens its been a fantastic season, one I've enjoyed immensely and it beats scrapping in and around the bottom of the division for survival. Bring it on and give it your all Wednesday.

We should have had a more clear cut penalty than that in the last minute on Tuesday. Needless challenge by the Bolton player though, he had cover and didn't need to dive in. What was the lad doing for the red card as well, nowhere near the ball and could have done some damage, completely pointless challenge.
Blue and white
Not if we only get it at Wolves FFS. Sorry my bad, I meant we only need a point next week. If we can't get that then we shouldn't even be thinking of promotion.
