33
https://www.gofundme.com/6rhyr2nk# Message from Andy asking for help. Maybe like me many might at first think... I've donated once? Maybe like me we might think how do we get to the figure they might need? Then looking at my wife I think how the Foook do you cope knowing there is a chance to help, but you are powerless if you can't raise the money? They need £7000 boys and girls. Can we not help again? Last week at the Class of 91 dinner I won a signed 91 stylee home shirt which was signed by all at the table including Big Ron, Hirsty and Roland. It is hung on a hanger doing nowt. Anybody up for donating £100 for the shirt...? If so I will happily double it to £200. As Andy says, one day it might be our loved ones and if the treatment works it should be available for all. poite
I've shared this on twitter with a mention to football heaven and Rob staton. Hopefully they will mention this on the show
FlyingOwl
Still think that this could be done much quicker if the club organised something officially to help raise the funds, or if the club just made people more aware. Not knocking the club. I'm sure each & every staff member has done their bit. But 7k for her next stage of treatment isn't much for this club & this fanbase. Just needs some organisation. That said. I don't know the ins and outs of the legalities surrounding fundraising.

BobsMagicCalculator
33 I will give 200 for the shirt, PM me. I might be a bit out of order saying this, but if I was Mr Chansiri I WOULD SORT THIS. just how I would be in the same situation.

The problem is for Chansiri if he gives £7000 for this he will be expected to give loads of money to every charity thing related to the club. That is not a situation he would want to be in. BIG D
It's an awkward one but I've said the same before about the players chipping in. Perhaps they are playing a part?
oh_weds_we_love_you
Great post 33. Happy to donate originally and will again. Think the daunting thing for a lot of people is the £250k target. Many will see that and think it's an impossible target and that might put them off giving anything at all. Wonder if the club would be happy to stick a voluntary £5 on the new home shirt that went to support Hayley - the club could even match the donation if that's fanancially possible? Think it will require some appeal on a mass scale to help Hayley to the £250k - and pretty sure there any many people with good ideas out there to help. 33
If in DC shoes the matter could be dealt with privately and so nobody knows what has happened to get to the funding target.
SouthernOwl24
I know its cringey but what about buckets at home games? It does work as proven and you can then put in the change you have in your pocket rather than a fiver for those that cant afford it. Another thing would be to appeal to Marie Curie or Cancer Research? Surely they would be able to donate something or even put it on their website or in a newsletter? Another idea would be to get legends like Hirst/ Waddle to raise money so you sponsor them to do something. I remember Shearer and Savage having to sit on every seat in Wembley and it was a race. Maybe they could do it at SWFC? What about an extra £1 to attend 'party in the park' A free advert in the matchday programme to donate? News articles to raise awareness of the massive task nationwide - write to all the big ones. Just some idea's that may/may not help to reach the target. darra
The problem is as others have suggested is where does it stop?. It's 7k now will it be 10 in a couple of months 5 a couple of months later? Yes you should never give up hope but what about the other lady on here who was trying to raise funds she seems to have been forgotten about even though she wanted far less. Are we saying she's less important because her husband doesn't work for the club.

People should be allowed to give to charities without having pressure put on them if you're pressurised its no longer a charitable donation
