Wallace

Recommended Posts

What was he sent off for? All I saw was him trying to get the ball back.

But.....

He needs to start leaving situations like that

alone. On Saturday he slapped an Ipswich player round the back of the head. Asking for trouble.

He did more than slap him round the back of the head on Saturday, he punched him in the side of the head, it happened right in front of where I sit on the South Stand and was as clear as day.

He was lucky not to go then but not so lucky tonight and now he'll be band until the playoffs.

Completely stupid on his part although that said, the way their player went down was pathetic and was particularly infuriating as it happened seconds after Forestieri was booked for bring fouled.

Needed dropping anyway.

Crap again

Wrong.

Tonight he was one of our only performers first half. We were poor up the left, but dangerous and busy up the right. Put in shots and some nice crosses.

Recently where have our goals come from? Wallace.

He was a tool on Saturday and again tonight, but he has been playing well and we will miss him.

On a positive note, he gets a rest and can calm down a bit before he helps us tear up the form book against Boro or Brighton.

Should have been taking off earlier imo.

MK offered absolutely nothing 2nd half (not that the offered a great deal for most of the first) and it would have been a good opportunity to give a quicker, more direct player like Matias the chance to go at them.

We didn't have anyone warming up for the entire 2nd half until Joao came on after the dismissal.

time off will give him a chance to brush up on his passing, crossing & corners

been frustrating to watch his constant mistakes and poor execution of late

Last few games we've hardly used the left side, everything has come down Wallace's side and to be honest he's not done a lot with it, been poor for a bit now.

He's had a decent season but has looked like a player needing a rest, this just forces CC to do it

Matias is a quality player and as long as he's willing to put in the same amount of work that Wallace does, he should improve the team considerably

Wallace ought to get a sizeable fine fro indiscipline. He could have cost us the match, and what if Cardiff had have won (three goals were scored in the last ten minutes at Brentford, fortunately two of them against Cardiff). Frustration doesn't cut it for me, at least if you're on the pitch you have a chance to influence the result!

An enforced rest may not be too bad a thing as struggling for form. We need Helan back as cover for Pudil and as a benchwarmer who can also also play further up on the left if needed. I think this means Matias gets a go wide right at Derby, unless Carlos plays it cautiously and doubles up on the right with Hunt and Palmer. (Please don't take Lee out of centre mid). The player we need back for Derby and Cardiff is Hutch as we need to dig in to get over the line and into the play-offs. As per a previous post, Ross, practice those corners and free kicks.
