Fernando & Hooper

Recommended Posts

Up front v MK Dons please.

No fannying about now, best players on the pitch until we're safely in the playoffs.

I'd bring Sam in as well (for Loovens?) if he's fully recovered, he's very important to the side and we always seem better for having him on the pitch.

Have our best performances come when we've played with FF and Hooper up front?

For me, Forestieri's best displays have come when playing out wide, and Hooper's have come when playing alongside Nuhiu.

On Tuesday, I'd bring in Nuhiu and Hooper, and play Forestieri wide left.

But then who gets left out? Lopez or Bannan?

Lopez has been brilliant of late, and after winning 3 out of 3 whilst Bannan was suspended, we've failed to win the next games since his return...

But can you really leave Bannan out?!

Perhaps Wallace misses out, and that way you shoehorn all three (Bannan, Lopez & Lee) into midfield.

Wait until the Big Dave love club read this.

Big Dave Love Club here.

Not really, but thats how some twist this next point.

Fernando plays better and the team play better when he is wide left. Bannan is far better in the centre than out wide. He started very poorly yesterday, looking out of place. Lopez did really well, but he is not a patch on Bannan.

I think our best team has the Wallace Lee Bannan Fernando midfield, with Hooper partnering Nuhiu or Joao.

Definitely would not change Lees/Loovens.

Always start with your best and go from there. Right now that's Hooper and Forestieri paired.

I agree but not only focussing on the strikers.

Our best 3 players...

Hooper

Bannan

Fessi

Play them in their best positions and build the rest around them.

Hooper striker.

Bannan central.

Fessi wide left.

I concur except we're not playing the type of game that would benefit Hooper and Fessi best i.e. them running at defenders or then lurking just outside the penalty box of set pieces

Hooper/Nuhiu doesn't work when we start a game with it. Nuhiu has zero impact when he starts a game full stop. Look at our results. Why can't people see this?

He's allowed to walk straight back in, it shouldn't work like that. You can't fault his work rate but the point stands.

He's not as big a miss as Forestieri is, as already been proved.

Lopez has been a breath of fresh air since returning to the side, would be criminal to drop him.

A bit worried about Sam. I read he's had glandular fever and that can take ages to get over - saps your energy. Hope he's ok because we need him.

I had that and it took over a year to fully recover from it. On the plus side I was skinny as flip! lol
