SiJ
Because McGeady doesn't like defending? Don't care how good you are as a fullback if you're having to deal with two players.
BarnsleyOwl96
Mcgeady is a big reason why I would start FF on the left and put hooper and joao up top
codrowe
You firgot that Pudil has an inability to tackle. He is good however at feebily waving his leg as wingers run past him Edited April 10, 2016 by codrowe
mrgund
Because there is a left and a right and the law of averages says that they must come from one of these if not down the centre.
Tamworthowl
1) three goals doesn't constitute evidence of anything. 2) left fullback is helped out by left wing. McGeady rarely comes in his own half: Bannan and Forestieri both help defensively but "roam" a lot. Whereas Wallace does a consistent job protecting right flank. 3) both fullbacks have a remit to attack leaving gaps to be exploited. Right flank is usually "covered" by Lees. Left is covered by a much slower Loovens/Turner/Sasso. Edited April 10, 2016 by Tamworthowl
Holmowl
Mcgeady is a big reason why I would start FF on the left and put hooper and joao up top Agreed. Get that solid midfield back for the final five games. McGeady can come on as an impact sub if chasing a game. Joao or Nuhiu up top with Hooper all the time. Tried and tested. IstillhateSteveBould
Agreed. Get that solid midfield back for the final five games. McGeady can come on as an impact sub if chasing a game. Joao or Nuhiu up top with Hooper all the time. Tried and tested. Tried and tested when? Look at our recent results. Look at the lineups when we've had good results. You will struggle to find one with Wallace Lee Bannan FF across midfield and Hooper and Nuhiu up top. Hooper and FF is clearly our best forward line up. Joao to be used occasionally and Nuhiu as an impact sub only. We clearly struggle when he starts. QPR, Preston, Rotherham, Bristol C are the only games Nuhiu has started in the last couple of months. BRADDAZ
No coincidence Pudils poorer games this season have come over the past few months, when McGeady has played down that side. Did people see the difference against Charlton at home in Pudils game in the second half when Forestieri played left and McGeady was brought off? Completely different player and back to his best. HossChops
It's a thread about goals down our left and yet there has to be a Nuhiu criticism in it. Some people are obsessed. Just childish point scoring amongst 'the haters'. Change the name to Atdhe Talk.

Bit of a dilemma with FF. We lack something up top when he's not up there, but don't have anyone better for the left side of midfield

daleblue
Stuck my head up over that waaanker May, said he was no where near good enough, loads on here are blind , people said he needs better balls to him, needs ball to feet, needs support, all the usual crap. Now I am going to stick my head up again, Pudil is not good enough, cant defend (which is what he is supposed to do), does not stop enough crosses coming in, cant tackle at Championship level, let alone Premiership. Please dont tell me that McGeady does not help him, we can all see that, but so does CC, so he puts his trust in Pudil to do the job with that expectation, so down to him. Do people wonder why he has not been bought from Watford, and why when at Watford he played in Midfield for the for the majority of games. He is not in the right position, he is not a full back. Solution. Play him in midfield or get rid. Edited April 10, 2016 by daleblue
Guest Fedor
Don't know why he didn't play Bannan on left yesterday? Less disruptions , a lot more solidity.
will i am
So that's why Pudil's after a long contract before heading back to eastern Europe? Don't think we're held to ransom these days so looks like cheerio along with quite a few loanees

This Hooper as the man up top with Fernando bridging the gap between midfield and Hooper. alanharper
If goals are coming from crosses into the box, maybe the centre backs and keeper should be looking at themselves rather than just blaming the full back?
