Just got back, not a great day. Here’s my views:-

Started out well and I thought their first was against the run of play. We then went to sleep and they added a second at which point the game was effectively over. Their left winger got a run on Palmer who made a poor challenge for the first penalty. The second was down to our keeper’s inexperience, there was no real danger since the ball would have gone out of play but he dove at the attackers feet and he accepted the invite. A decent enough free kick from Wallace and it looked as though he went close with another but really we got it wrong from the start.

Wildsmith 6- At fault for their fourth but its hard to fault that much.

Palmer 5- Gave away a penalty and was not at his best.

Lees 6- Does not look the same player without Loovens,

Turner 3- Shocker, one to forget.

Pudil 6- Got the run around early on (mainly due to McGeady not covering) but had a decent second half.

Defence- Looked suspect throughout.

Lee 5- Looked out of place on right midfield at the start. He was moved more central and improved but he never really got on top of things.

Lopez 5- Some nice touches and a few decent passes but went missing when he was needed.

Bannan 7- MOM Worked tirelessly throughout but nobody really helped him out.

McGeady 4- Might have been a different game if he had scored when he rounded the defender and hit it at the keeper. One or two nice touches but far too little (even when he changed wings) and was rightly brought off at half time.

Midfield- Never got to grips with the attacking side of things (apart from the first 10 minutes).

Nuhiu 5- Seems to be much better when he comes on during a game. To be fair they had two strong centre backs that were solid throughout.

FF 6- Did try to make things happen but nothing seemed to come off for him.

Attack- Did not really threaten that much

Wallace 6- Well taken free kicks and a few decent touches but the game was over when he came on at the start of the second.

Joao 5- Tried but he could have done better with that one that seemed to slide under his feet when he could have been through.

MM 5- Worked hard and had a shout for a penalty.

Carlos- He got it wrong today. Should not have made so many changes. Once he knew that his captain was out he should have limited the number of changes. Trying out a new central midfield pairing was always going to be a big risk, as was completely changing the spine of the team from the previous game (Westwood, Loovens, Lee, Hooper for Wildsmith, Turner, Bannan, Nuhiu). I am not saying that there is anything wrong with the spine that was picked today but once Loovens was out he should have kept things as they were. Once Westwood was out then maybe Lee-Lopez should have started with Bannan out wide etc. and in the end it was the changes that seemed to affect the performance.

Actually had a really great day in Bristol despite the result.

Mcgeady and Turner had shockers.

Was surprised Wallace was dropped. He looked good when he came on

I also think atdhe is a better 'super-sub' than a starter.

Get real, Guys. We were overdue for the hiding that happens to all sides at some time.

Yes. CC made a lot of changes, but how many of these were forced, and don't forget, we were playing a side that was struggling to avoid relegation. I know we are fighting for promotion, but they were on Home territory, which makes a big difference. And, though we may not realise it, our record against lower teams has not, over the YEARS been thebest. We always seem to play better against better opposition.

Yes, we needed to win yesterday, but we are in a much better position than any of us thought we would be at the start of the season. Put yesterday behind us. It's history and nothing we can do will change it. Look forward to Ipswich at home.
