Steering Group 18th April

Recommended Posts

Next meeting has been scheduled.

Does anyone want anything bringing up?

Can you ask about the pitch. Is the pitch going to be properly maintained throughout the whole of next season. And do we need more ground staff to help?

I know it's not a major deal to most but I'm just curious, because our pitch starting looking poor again during winter while other desso pitches looked almost perfect.

Apart from that I'd like to know about plans for the training ground in particular and also Hillsborough.

Can we invite all the traffic wardens of Sheffield to a trip to Thailand for a ride on a tuna boat. A rusty unseaworthy one

Can we also extend the invitation to the Highways Agency staff who like to close lanes on the M1 on Tuesday nights

Amen to the second question mate, A34 southbound closed as well six hours to get back Tuesday night WTF .

Not sure the home fans on lower Lepp v Cardiff is such a good idea. Totally different beast to the 37 Charlton fans and very high pressure game. Remember the aftermath after Crystal Palace

You may be right, but he is bound to have short and long term ideas to maximise capacity, and this question might get both answers out of him. He is a successful bloke and the prospect of 3000 fans wanting to handover thirty quid to him but being unable to do so despite empty seats in the Lepp will not be a pleasant one.

J28-31 had opened now though? Should make things smoother... until the next lot of works.

- What are the long term plans for developing the training facilities. I know Derby are a one off, however, their new complex is outstanding.

- if we don't get promotion within 2 years, what would be the financial strain on the club? Have we got the incomings to support continued strengthening of the team?

- what is the long term vision for the academy? To we want to try and eventually get category 1 standard?

- any news on the west stand re-development?

Can you ask about why we don't seem to utilise the new big screen very much?

Why don't they put the early kick-off games on the big screen, instead of just the TV's on the concourses?

Also, there seem to be very few updates of other scores around the country - and this could be very important to us over the next few games?

Because the Club (rightly) wants people to stay on the concourse supping beer and buying food.

Wednesdayite car park, why club don't buy it to make it fans park with food and drinks outlets, maybe even a bridged ticket entrance straight over to kop and north stand to help with road safety and easy access. Plus a couple of pubs and additional car parking?

Even the old kwik fit is crying out to be turned into a pub
