Jack Payne - Southend

Recommended Posts

You've got to be kidding!!

They've provided some of the best comedy gold moments in living memory, last night being no exception.

Dead & buried against Wolves by half time in the play offs.

Simmondsen ball still in orbit!

Mind the gap!

etc etc etc ad infinitum!

As has frequently been said on here, "The gift that keeps on giving".

Why would you want to miss it, they never fail to fail.

Entertainment at its best!

Simmondsen day if that had been written as a plot, people would have said it would be too far fetched.  Rates up there as one of the all time funniest things.

I watched Payne for Southend at Rochdale last Saturday. Took his goal well and looked lively and technically good in a 4-1 defeat. Grant Holt scored Rochdale's first goal.

There are players out there in the lower leagues who are able to make the step up, just look at alli at tottenham and clucas at hull as examples. Of course there are many who dont. It seems as if this guy is the right age and could improve enough to turn into a good player. We should at least be looking at players like this

It's easier if you get them early enough, not sure how old Alli was when he signed but I think he was still a teenager
