Salmonbones
Against pigs, looks a class above, 21 years old and out of contract in the summer. I've never started a "could he do a job" but he looks like a big fish in a small pond in this game.

WayneTheOwl
Did I hear the chants? I didn't hear the fans all night long let alone any chants. They just keep on giving them idiots don't they. Now officially in bottom half of League 1 (DIVISION 3)
PEARSON
Too lightweight for the championship. I honestly don't think people appreciate the gap in quality between us and United. The gap between the championship and league one has grown in the seasons we've been out of it. United are mid-table in a poor league one, we're in the play-offs in a very wealthy, competitive championship. Basically Lavery would rip there defence apart and he can't get near our bench. Looking good against them means nothing in comparison to how good you'd have to be to get in our team

Forestieri looks lightweight for us, he out muscles those considerably larger and considered stronger week in, week out. I'm not suggesting you didn't, but did you see this kids performance today? He made things out of nothing when seemingly up against a brick wall.

He was tricky and technically good but I think you need more at this level. Uniteds defence was very poor, I'm not being overly harsh on them cos it's them, but as I say had someone like Lavery had played tonight he'd have probably had the same effect as Payne. Also couldn't disagree with you more that Foresterri looks lightweight. Big difference between small and lightweight.

There is plenty of room in football for smaller players these days, it seems you are stuck in the 80s and 90s mate. This young lad was the standout for me, a great touch and good feet, he also moved well across the turf. That is the sort of player you take a gamble on, he his technically very good, you can work on his strength if needed. The gap between League One and The Championship is no bigger, Wigan have a good squad but haven't walked it, the will also fit nicely into mid table next season in The Championship.
