areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Michael Laudrup was pretty special, as was Peter Schmeichel. Rooney and Hazard looked pretty handy in the flesh, too. Having said that, I honestly don't think I've seen better than Waddle at his best.
j17tjp
I saw Bale in his very last Spurs appearance. It was only a friendly VS Swindon, but the skill & class was just oozing out of every ball he played
j17tjp
Cech in goal for Arsenal..... Last October - only let in 3 goals that night
LoadABallacks
Tough one. Best player is probably Ronaldinho, but performance wise was Ibrahimovic when he was at inter. Dominated the game and bagged 4.
cazzaswfc
Messi Although watching Barca live you also get to see how good Neymar actually is, Messi doesn't actually put that much work in, stands around waiting for the ball with 2 players round him. TBF it's because he doesn't need to work hard, doesn't need to run into space, still jinks away from 2/3 defenders. Unbelievable to see live. manicowl
Shearer for me. Saw him for Blackburn when they beat Forest 7-0. He was an absolute powerhouse, bullied Colin Cooper for 90 mins. He scored an hat-trick and only heroics from Crossley stopped him getting six or seven. In the last minute he tried a diving header from about 35 yards and it hit the bar. If it had gone in it would have been the best goal I've ever seen.
Fast Forward
Saw Tony Currie quite a few times in the early seventies at Bramall Lane (my mate was a Unitedite). He was a brilliant player and had loads of charisma too.
torres
Saw Ruud Gullit play against Wednesday twice, towards the end of his playing career, and despite it being two 0-0 draws he absolutely bossed both games. 100% agree with this. He looked like a professional playing against 10 year olds. Never broke sweat but looked out of this world
Wednesday_Jack
Juninho for middlesborough...sheer quality!!
steelcityowlsfan
A tough one. If pressed I'd have to say Ola Tidman. Changed the way the goal keeping position is played. We were lucky to have him. Edited March 28, 2016 by steelcityowlsfan
Baldrick
Saw Real Madrid at the Bernabeu a few years ago, the side that had Beckham & Owen Made the best ever triple substitution bringing on Ronaldo, Raul & Figo to try and turn the game. They still lost 1-0 !
owl4528
Waddle against West Ham and Beckham against Greece are two that stand out for me...plus Les Ferdinand for QPR can't quite remember who against but it was a complete forward performance. Big Jack
Pele, Georgie Best and Chris Waddle. Agree with all of them and if only we had Willie Henderson when he was younger a player who could dribble....can't leave out Ron Springet my hero and best keeper we ever had, lastly David Hirst best striker in over 50 years. Bolsterstone B Army
George Best. Ripped us apart no meter how many times we kicked him. Even went to the Lane to see him play ...now that takes some doing. Edited March 28, 2016 by fowlplay
