In the first half, Wednesday were playing at what seemed to be no more than 2/3 speed and were making little progress .against a relatively well-organised defence.

Several of us were thinking 'There's another Rotherham on here.'

Come half time, and CC does something almost unheard f in modern soccer. He altered his game plan, brought on Lopez and Nuhiu. This completely altered the match.

The team in the second half appeared a different side, their shape altered, and Charlton could not cope. Lopez added something to the defence, and gave them purpose. Nuhiu's appearance brought the usual calmness and edge to the forwards.

I would like to vote for both as MOM, but having to chose one, it must go to Nuhiu.

Great post

Anyone not voting for Forestieri shouldn't be commenting on football.

Fessi was superb. Nuhiu changed the game. Nuhiu MOM.

He didn't though did he? He played well. He played a part in the 2nd half improvement, but there were many other important factors that changed the game.

You're clearly a big Nuhiu fan and like many others, what would generally be seen as a good performance for anyone else, becomes so much more simply because of who it is.

FF was the stand out player, in the second half especially.

The usual bedwetters over exaggerating Nuhius contribution.

Lopez made the difference today. In the first half Hutchinson was sat on the centre halves toes and all were dithering on the ball. They were being closed down effectively by Harriot and panicked in possession. Lopez came on and passed the ball quicker and with more purpose. He got FF into the game who in turn got at them. As opposed to Mcgeady who turned back and slowed play down whenever he got it. It had little to do with Nuhiu.

Him and Lopez coming on, and Fessi dropping deeper left. Add to this higher pressing, and getting the ball out of our back four earlier. It all contributed to a superb second half transformation.

If I could have voted for Carlos I would have done, but for me there is no doubt which single player shon as the difference, and it was Nuhiu.

Simple arithmetic. Gate of 21k with 6,000 (after knocking off season ticket holders ) at an average of 30 quid equals 180k or alternatively an extra15k at 20 quid extra equals 300k more in the club's coffers.

Westwood - 6, rarely tested and decent

Hunt - 7, did well going forward and a great ball in for the second goal

Lees - 7, great header and commanding game

Loovens - 6, solid as usual

Pudil - 7, very solid and did well in the second

Wallace - 6, started well and his corner for the first goal was great

Lee - 8, wasn't at his best in the first half but electric in the second, everything goes through him

Hutchinson - 6, combative but not as effective as usual

Mcgeady - 5, clearly skilful but quiet and lacks the work rate that others have

Forestieri - 8, hard working, dangerous every time he got the ball and neat goal that he earned from gambling, so my man of the match

Hooper - 6, some nice touches but no chances

Nuhiu- 8, gave us something to aim for and certainly helped change the game

Lopez - 7, very tidy on the ball and decent strike though it was an own goal. Made a big difference

Matias - 6, looked lively

Westwood 6 nothing of note to do

Hunt 6 got better in 2nd half

Loovens 6 quiet afternoon

Lees 6.5 half point for scoring

Pudil 6 easy shift

McGeady 5 didn't really have chance to get into it

Lee 7 poor in first half , much much better 2nd

Hutchinson 5 dived in like a prat first off and did little else

Wallace 5 predictable and slow

Ff 8 never gives up

Hooper 6 did alright but much more effective when foresteri is on the wing

Niuhu 7.5 far better when coming off the bench

Lopez 7 best game for us , surely pushing for a start
