viva hate
Will be interesting to see if he's still here next year. Didn't he sign a longer contract at Celta Vigo before he came on loan?

Hopefully they are hurting for money. 2 million would be good
s6 owl
Read an article from the Spanish newspaper yesterday he said he wants to go back to Celta Vigo at the end of the season but is fully committed on getting us to the premier league and is loving it here seems like a great bloke and he was fantastic today when he came on changed the game along with Nuhiu Edited March 19, 2016 by s6 owl

Bluesteel
Added a much needed burst of enthusiasm and energy today. Lopez and Nuhiu changed the game
TANGLED UP IN BLUE
Played well today, deffo got what it takes. Along with McGugan he must be keeping the others on their toes.
markg
Really like him. People will laugh but I honestly rate him as our best midfielder
blueandwhitematt
Really like him. People will laugh but I honestly rate him as our best midfielder On the limited evidence we've seen, I don't think he'd be far off to be honest. He's clearly a very, very talented player. He's just been unlucky that he's seemed to pick up the odd injury here and there, and also his three main rivals for a centre mid spot (Bannan, Lee, Hutchinson) have not really put a foot wrong to warrant being dropped all season. Guest The Horse
Thought we looked lost without Bannan in the first half but Lopez picked up that baton. He's a real quality player.Seems to always, always find a pass and makes acres of space around him.His pass completion rate must be one of the best in the squad. Holmowl
Added a much needed burst of enthusiasm and energy today. Lopez and Nuhiu changed the game Totally agree. Wasnt just Nuhiu as some have said, and wasnt just Lopez, as others have said. Brilliant, decisive and timely management. Nuhiu for an ineffective McGeady, and Lopez for an ineffective and dangerously gung-ho Hutch. Master stroke.
swfcjack27
Inspired substitution from Carlos to bring him on, quality on the ball, can pick a pass which lacked first half with Lee and Hutch as a partnership

coreyswfc
I wonder if Corey still thinks Lopez was a poor signing? No ill change my mind after one game. I'm a bit fickle like that. Best player at the club.
StudentOwl
I wonder if Corey still thinks Lopez was a poor signing? I saw people on Thursday on here saying he was poor. Can't understand it personally, he's absolutely class... think he has the best forward passing % accuracy in the squad- the type that'll keep the ball moving. Should definitely start in place of a suspended Bannan next game, can potentially do a very similar job
Corneliusreeve
I thought he fit into the Bannan role really well when he came lots of running tackling and great distribution.
Ironman
He was celta Vigo player of the season in la liga and is very highly rated there, just never really got going here and doubt there's any chance he'll stay. A shame as he's obviously a very cultured player. I remember the first few times I saw him including the St mirren friendly he looked sheer class, our own Samti Cazorla. s6 owl
We won a lot more of the 2nd balls as well when he came on his awareness is fantastic proved he is a class act and a very positive passer of the ball always looking up and and passing it forward
