EcclesallOwl
Anyone else think he's gone completely off the boil in the last few months? Looks a completely different player to the one I always praise. Don't know if it's because we're getting better and noticing better players' limitations or whether he's just completely out of form. He seems to turn backwards every time he gets the ball, slows down attacks etc. Completely different to the 'Moutinho' like player CC likened him to earlier in the season. McGugan to come in for a few games as he deserves a chance..
Guest
McGugan to come in for a few games as he deserves a chance.. He has done nothing to deserve a chance, he is on the bench for a reason.
EcclesallOwl
He has done nothing to deserve a chance, he is on the bench for a reason. Apart from scoring twice the last time he started and then coming on at Birmingham putting in a top shift..
alanharper
Last few months? Agree he's looked a bit jaded in the last few games and could perhaps do with a rest (ideal opportunity now with Hutch and FF back), but up until very recently he's been excellent. owlZfan84
I agree re: Lee. I think the lad needs a little rest. I'd like to see McGugan given a run, thing is CC seems to loath to drop KL. Edited March 10, 2016 by owlZfan84

SouthernOwl24
Agree Lee has been quiet. The problem is that him and Bannan work really well together and it could take us backwards should he have to get used to someone else. I wouldnt say hes been poor just quieter than usual. Maybe he is tired? We all know what Mcgugan is capable of and I would like to give him a chance. Mcgugan is a top quality player and someone great to come in if Lee is tired. I just dont want to risk the partnership Lee and Bannan have created. To be honest were having a blip and questions are being asked. But we have not had the 'rub of the green' with referee's either. TANGLED UP IN BLUE
He'll look a better player with Hutch back in midfield I reckon, same as Bazza.

Yeah I'd say few months I love the guy and think he's a top player, maybe just needs a rest for a bit. Without looking at any stats he must have played in pretty much every match for us? Danish
A few games out might help. I'd like to see Wallace on the right, FF on the left, BB and Hutch in the middle Saturday.

Ahh of course, 2 goals against a team that may be relegated to league 2 (which we lost anyway) and putting a shift in against Brum. IMO that doesn't mean he deserves a start. In fact at the very least you expect a player to put a shift in. I could put a shift in, does that mean I deserve a start? Jeeez, a couple of disappointing results and the next thing we need to be chopping and changing a formula that has been proven to work. EcclesallOwl
Lee is fine, stop looking for things which aren't there. We don't want fine, we need everyone to be on top of their games.. Which is meant to be the reason why we have so many players in the squad so other quality players can come in to replace anyone who's looking tired/not playing to their potential

He put in a top performance against Birmingham, does it really matter? Same thing. Fair enough if you don't think McGugan deserves a start, the thread was mainly about Lee anyway. Someone above suggested a midfield without Lee, which looked good and would give Lee a rest.

daveyboy66
TBF CC hasn't been reluctant to give anyone a rest if he thinks they need it...so I presume his stats in training must show he's ok

Guest wilyfox
He's in the prime of his career, been excellent for last two years. A few things don't go our way and people lay into our best players. Moronic. Reserve your criticism for players that aren't actually good enough.
james o connor
im lee's biggest fan but the fact is over the last 5 or 6 games hes been really poor and should be dropped for a bit. pointing out a player isnt playing well doesnt mean you dont like him or your a bad fan. I cant see why pointing out a fact is 'moronic'
Road Runner
International break coming up isn't it? The time to rest then for all, and give it a good go after until the season end.
