s6 owl
From one extreme to the other, looked a different player yesterday the one we saw earlier in the season and not the one we have seen for the last 2 months... Needs to start Tuesday for me gives us a totally different option and one which is needed when Forestieri isn't available

steelowl
seems a confidence player he oozes class when he's on it like yesterday - last few appearances he's seemed to have lost confidence for me
owlZfan84
Played really well. He should of buried that chance when we was through against Camp though.
Holmowl
Said before the game yesterday he should have started, nuihu just played into their hands in the first half You couldnt have started Joao on his form over the past few months. But yesterday he was a revelation. Back to his best form in a Wednesday shirt. Very few positives yesterday but his return to form is a massive boost for us. We now have 3 out and out forwards, so I expect it will be Hooper and Nuhiu/Joao up front to the end of the season, with Fessi in his best role on the left. Wallace and McGeady need to scrap it out for the right sided midfield role.

eckington owl
Very frustrating for me. His first touch nine times out of ten is horrific. I saw at least three times yesterday he knocked the ball five or six yards in front of him and lost possession. And another time where he did all the hard work to beat 2 men, then gave the ball away with a terrible pass. I think he needs a run of games to regain some confidence; I don't think cameo's off the bench are doing him much good, in my opinion.
splan80
I think his game will see phases like these. Extremes until he matures and he knows what works well and consistently. That said I think joao plays so much better with nuihu in the side. It allows him to be on the move and play with ball to feet. When replacing nuihu he is used more as a target man and he's no good at that imo. Is it another example of nuihu creating the right space for others/our better players, if we can find them? It's just a shame he hasn't consistently got a good enough game in most areas. Edited March 6, 2016 by splan80
McRightSide
IMO a big reason he played so well is because Nuhooi was on the pitch, he continued to get ball fired into him at 100mph so Joao could generally disregard that part of the game
TrickyTrev
I said before the game he should have started, made am immediate impact as soon as he came on. That said, when he shot and the keeper saved it only for it to rebound to Hooper who was offside, had he passed it to Hooper rather than shoot, Hooper would have been through one on one. That was very selfish and greedy play by Joao.
BarnsleyOwl96
He did play well he's way better then big dave Faster better shot and actually just as good at keeping the ball for the majority raw and needs time to develop
richowl
Let's give a run of games especially at home. He's another player that likes the ball into feet. So let's see how he plays when he's used as a target man & balls hoofed up.

smhouston
Played really well. He should of buried that chance when we was through against Camp though. Very harsh. The second defender got over extremely quickly and was about to tackle him when he shot making the angle to play with very small. An extra yard ahead I have no doubt he would have finished it

I will remind you of this comment when Jaoao is scoring in the prem (hopefully for us) and May has returned to playing n front of six men and a dog in the scottishnomads league

Paul..
Definitely improved us, definitely made a number of positive forward breaks, unfortunately made the wrong decision about 75% of the time when he had the ball.
