Carlos got it wrong today but still not (quite) time to panic

Recommended Posts

Posted after QPR querying selection - McGeady and Wallace in the same team don't work leaves us too light in the middle. Same again today completely outfought and outnumbered in that area. Equally worrying is to play Joao and Nuhiu together - smacks of desperation. All our success has come from a strong footballing midfield but today we resort to lumping it forward. Played into their hands and it left Hooper looking completely at odds. One or the other Carlos not both. Complaints about the ref are academic. On effort, organisation and clear chances created they deserved it. Need to seriously improve and very quickly. On the plus side we have the players to do just that.

Agree, it needs to be McGeady or Wallace, not both.

1) Somebody wide with really outstanding pace to scare the hell out of defenders.
2) As others have side McGeady/Wallace doesnt work.
3) Hate to say it but, K Lee needs a rest, been off it for 3/4 games.
4) Bannan was too deep, and is trying to hit killer passes 50/60 yards , instead of higher up the pitch, and with quicker, shorter interchanges.
5) Joao was much better today, and Should have replaced big Dave.
6) not sure if Pudil was poor or if he was exposed by Mgeady.
7) Could well have been a day for Helen, or even Lavery

We were in a strong position and we've blown that already.

Game on again battling for 6th as we will likely drop out assuming the games in hand are won. I really didn't expect this as we looked really strong last month.

Confidence and form is so hard to keep going

We knew Warnock didn't want a game of football, he wanted a battle just like when they beat Brentford last week.

Hindsight's a great thing but we looked lightweight right across midfield and could have done with Hutchinson or Semedo in there, maybe even McGugan.

Even MTPO mentioned last night that we must not let them get an early lead because they would take a lot of breaking down, but we come out of blocks slow and let them get in front.

I agree he got it wrong to and also agree no need to panic.

I thought at half time he obviously threw kitchen sink too soon with the 3 upfront, left us without any width and we were just chucking high balls in. Thought Joao should have started with Forestieri not playing and the fact he caused carnage at the New York. Also didn't understand not bringing Matias on at the end we were screaming for someone to run at there back line and we just didn't have a player who could do that in the second half, literally was no point in him being on the bench.
