Annual Accounts Published

Recommended Posts

Nothing unexpected in these, year end  May 2016, will be much more interested.

Highlights.....income up (tickets sales and commercial activities)

Debtors up by approx £1m (owed to Wednesday).  No real breakdown in accounts as to why.

All monies owed to previous directors (apart from £3000 mentioned contingent liabilities) now repaid.

All First and Second legal charges removed from Hillsborough Stadium.

Chansiri put in a £5 loan on day one to help cash flow and ensure payments made when they fell due.

No mention of sponsorship monies owed by Mammatov or if we intend to chase this debt.

Summary...

Much stronger set of accounts, despite still supporting losses (albeit reducing). Net worth of company is healthier, although the true worth is not representative, as they do not take into account Chansiri's full involvement and his substantial backing/ personal worth.

I reckon the debtors increase will be what Forest still owed us for Antonio.

The gate receipts are shown in the accounts in note 2 - £10,158m up from £9,971m.  Wages are £11.9m and so we are still spending 80% of our total income on wages.  Although new prices mean match receipts should have gone up in next year's accounts, it won't be as much as wages have with FF / Matias / Hooper etc to add on.

A wage bill of anything over 65% of income is not considered sustainable - which shows just how screwed football is outside of Prem when a mid-table side with one of the best attendances in the league loses millions every year without a sugardady to bankroll the club

Kivo just wants us to spill our guts to the whole world.......just to satisfy his gripes about ticket prices

Spill our guts?

We've published our gate receipts and wage bill in our accounts for decades.

Why stop now?

Because with the change of ownership it's a neat, sensible time to do it.

Rather than waiting and doing it at a point where we actually might be close to the FFP limits, and we get accused of covering things up.

I move a lot of concrete on the QVC.

A little further comment on Turnover and wages positions.

Turnover in total (combination of ticket sales and Commercial Activities) has increased by £1.1M, which includes a 3% increase from gate receipts/increased average attendance of approx 700 fans per game (23 games per season) paying say an average of £15 per average fan (season ticket/adult/junior/senior) per game, would result in an increased turnover from gate receipts of approx £250K. So where has the other £850K come from ? Could it be the Mammatov shirt sponsorship ? and could this be the reason that debtors (monies owed to us) have increased by approx £1m ??

Wages are shown as a total for ALL staff, including players, but not directors (these increased by £80K). Total wages have increased by £800K, although staff numbers have dropped by an average of 9 people (not players) throughout the year. Therefore, it is safe to assume that players wages have increased, perhaps reflecting the improved quality taken on loans (McGugan etc).

If the Mammatov sponsorship HAS been included in these accounts, it is still being treated as a normal debtor (within 12 months) and not yet as a bad debt. It will be interesting to see if Chansiri will write this debt off if this is the case.

Happy with those - not sure why you want gate receipts breaking down individually?

Don't really care tbh - not at the moment. Chansiri clearly funding things - club not lacking funds - when funds are lacking he pops some more in the bank to cover.

There's absolutely nothing anybody can do about it anyway.  Other than strap in and enjoy the ride.

PS: I would imagine next time round gate receipts will be massively up - given weve just sold a shedload of 3 years season tickets. Season after that will be interesting - as loads of people will have effectively got in free (as far as the accounts are concerned)

Don't this it would do that would it? Wouldn't the receipts be held over for the second and third years?

Are you fishing?

Or being naive?

3 year season tickets will be accounted for each season, next year we will see a large lump of accrued income on the balance sheet.

15/16 accounts due out next February will see income increased by this years ticket prices.

You can't recognise the revenue for a service you have not yet delivered so the money for three year season tickets will not all go into the same year
