owlZfan84
For me, these two have to start up top tonight. Davies and Dawson are big lads, and I think they'll cope much better if they were up against the likes of AN/LJ from the start. Get Fernando and Gary up top to start; I don't think Dawson and Davies will be able to cope with their movement. This is one area I think we can really exploit tonight, providing CC gets the team selection right - which I've every faith he will.
Guest wilyfox
For sure. Start with our best strikers and most likely scorers, then go from there.
agentwalker
In theory, from an attacking point of view yes. But on the flip side we might need the extra height to defend set pieces against them two. But for me starting with big Dave seems to encourage us to go long a little too much for my liking. gurujuan
Yes, and I don't think Nuhiu will get much change out of Davies and Dawson, so Hooper and Forestieri are our best bet. Yes defending set plays might present a problem, but when doesn't it. At least if we play Forestieri up front, we can then use Hutch in midfield to try and combat their aerial threat

This is the one thing that worries me about tonight. Our defending from set plays hasn't been great at the best of times recently. The fact that Hull have some big lads ain't going to make it much easier tonight. One thing I've noticed recently is the amount of daft freekicks we give away, due to our pressing game. We need to cut this out.

Certainly feel this is a game where Westwood is going to have to dominate his box from set-pieces, and any help he can get from the taller lads in the team will be crucial. Eightace
Forestieri has a great first half against them but they bullied us second half. Nuhiu did well when he came on. We need Hutch in the middle for this one for sure.

We need to cut this out. Although he has the height advantage over most, Nuhiu isn't exactly good in the air. We're probably better being able to draft in Hutch if we are to defend against their tall players. Quite honestly, if we are trying to defend an aerial bombardment, we're done for anyway, such is the difference in size between the two groups. Our best chance is to take the game to them, which of course is easier said than done.

owlZfan84
I'd have Turner, Semedo and Loovens all in the squad tonight to combat Hull's physical presence (if needed). Edited February 26, 2016 by owlZfan84
Sham67
4-1-4-1 tonight, Hutch sitting and FF wide left IMHO.
Holmowl
Of course formation and selection is really important, but what we need is 9 or 10 players at full potential tonight. Not the two or three v Preston, or the 4 or 5 v QPR. But for me! If all fit, its Tuesdays team with Fessi for McG and Hutch for Sasso.
Animis
These two have to start and I agree that we need the height for their aerial threat - Hutch should start if fit so that gives us some support. We've been a bit lightweight from the opposits' aerial threat this season.
Mr. Chow
Agree tire them out then bring on the nuhiu with 20-30 mins left to destroy them Edited February 26, 2016 by Animal

JoshTheOwl
Joao gave Dawson a tough game last time round.. Hopefully 5 in the middle. Keeping it tight
gurujuan
iF Turner is fit, I'd be tempted to play him with Lees. Sasso's done OK but he's not dominant in the air, although I suppose, neither is Turner, though he's more dominant than Sasso.
Owl.1867
I'd go the other way and say Nuhiu HAS to start tonight. It won't be pretty but he'll take the fight to them. Hooper up with him and FF left/free. If Hutch were to come in I'd be tempted to leave Wallace on the bench and just admit that the width has to come from fullbacks. Jesus Christ, we have options this year don't we?! Harder to pick a side these days.
Guest Johnbloodaxe
You have to start with Nuhiu and Hooper up front, any other combination is just not strong enough and we will get bullied. I would rest Wallace and play McGeady. I would play Hutch in midfield too and play sasso or turner alongside Lees. Need some physicality on there tonight and that line up is probably the most physical we have in midfield and up front. Hooper on his own with FF just behind wouldn't get a look in, nether would Joao. Bring him on last 25.
