gurujuan
Division One Crewe inflicted a double defeat over both our, U18s on Saturday, and our U21s today. All in all, a pretty poor couple of days for the club.

S36 OWL
For me , the Dev squad and academy isnt all about results, its about bringing players through.

Ronnie Starling
When Mr Chansiri has finished with the first team he will need to look at the academy and get some proper coaches who know how to coach and talk to youngsters. Our performance in getting academy players to the first team has been woeful.

So two players in nearly 10 years? Thats woeful. Our coaching staff our poor and it needs a big clear out with some quality professional coaches brought in. I reckon we need scouts who can spot schoolboy talent. I've always said pele could have lived in pitsmoor and we wouldn't have spotted him. There's been 3 Sheffielders in the England side recently. Vardie Cahill jagielka. Two supported us. Where were our scouts?
Lincs Owl
Vardie did play for us of course at a junior age. Who let him go? Someone made a poor decision.
torres
Always baffles me how we haven't produced anyone of note for a long long long time. However I suppose that goes for most clubs

Where were our scouts? I was attempting to play football last night and was introduced to a new player who played with Vardy at our academy and he said the reason he wasn't signed was because he was too small. Go down to our academy and watch the groups of coaches huddled around talking amongst themselves or ringing their mates whilst ignoring the football being played. I have seen some of our scouts attend grassroots games talking into their mobiles with their backs to the play. Unless its an emergency then I don't see why its necessary to spend all your time on the mobile when you are being paid to watch a game of football. Its not difficult as the United, Derby and Chesterfield scouts seem to have mastered watching a game of football.

I think it was someone called Jimmy Shoulder. Looks like he will have to shoulder the blame for that poor decision.
