torryowl
never turned full time as he had a good job as a draughtsman ......RIP
Buxtongent
May not have turned full time, torry, but always 'put a shift in'. One of the first Wednesday wingers I saw, and could go like a bullet. He may not have scored many goals (that wasn't a winger's job at the time)but his crosses allowed some of his team mates score a lot. My very first hero - when we played in the back yard I always wanted to be Jackie Marriot. R.I.P.
Jackie Sewell
When I started watching Wednesday, the star player was Jackie Sewell, and as I was the only kid going to games I was proud to become him in playground kickabouts.... untill a new kid arrived in class and Sewell was their lodger down on Wordsworth Ave. So I reluctantly had to hand over that alias to him. I became Jackie Marriot instead. RIP.
