FuthaMucker
Where's everyone aiming for on Saturday? Seen a few people mention the Grey Friar on here which is a pretty big Spoons in town centre

33
If you are driving in and come in to Preston from J31/M6 (tickled trout), then as you come up the hill you will hit a big roundabout with a nice looking pub on the corner called the Hesketh's Arms. JUST DON'T If you aren't going into town and are parking towards the ground, after turning right at said roundabout above, drive towards Deepdale and park up wherever. The fire station is a good bet but along that road you go past Deepdale Retail Park on right then Deepdale PNE on left but keep going and at at the junction of Blackpool Rd/A6 there is a Sainsbury's across the road on the right. Turn right and walk past Sainsbury's entrance for another 100 yards and there is a decent boozer called The Sumners. Good size and plenty of Wednesdayites. Plenty of boozers in town and on way to ground, particularly if you go via university area so plenty of cheap boozers. Alternatively at the far end of the pedestrianised part of the town centre at the opposite end to the train station there are quite a few boozers together like Yate's etc. You are probably still a good 15 minute or so walk to ground from here. Just behave in town though you rascals.
33
Grey Friar just a few mins from train station. Come out of station and turn right as though you are walking into town centre, a road forks of to left and you should see a Staples at the bottom and a dual carriageway/traffic lights. Turn right there and you should see the 'Old Black Bull' on opposite side of road (lots of handpull beers if you like the marston's/burton type beers) and just past that is the Grey Friar. Cheap as chips, grub and typical JDW.

Justbeanz
Gotta ask 33, whats wrong with the Hesketh Arms ?
33
Cliquey wouldn't quite cover it. Not a bad area but somehow attracts more than it's fair share of pikeywannabes
Justbeanz
Ok mate will give a wide birth then. Our plan is Chorley, whats access to the ground gonna be like with so many Wednesday going. Would imagine it'll be pretty chaotic ?

FuthaMucker
Cheers 33. We're going on the train so we'll probably go to the JDW first and see what it's like and leave if it's not that good
