joelswfc
From Boro forum Don't care what Hull do too much. Be nice to see them go on a 5 game losing streak, but I'm more bothered by Burnley and SheffieldWednesday behind us. For me, Wednesday look like the Watford of last year, ready to steam roll in at the end almost out of nowhere. Agreed, Sheff Wed need to be considered a threat for the top 2 as well in my opinion. On a really good run of form, and only a few points off. Watford were 5th this time of year too. Brighton forum For me, Sheff Weds are this seasons outsiders to make a charge for top 2. Doesnt seem much is stopping them right now. Great to see Derby's meltdown continue, and they deserve it after that sacking. Prefer to have Weds to battle against than Derby No. Great run of form but will drop off, as all others have done. Id say they have every chance of a top 2 finish especially securing Hooper They can't keep up present form. Play-off certs but no more. Well, yes, but whereas Boro and Hull have always been our close rivals at the top, the Owls are coming up from nowhere at a scary rate of knots. Sheff Weds are looking fairly solid and could prove a difficult obstacle IMO.

Utah Owl
Its nice to read mate, I would prefer everyone to ignore us though, until its too late . Seriously? I would prefer that they are terrified of us just like we were scared of everyone else including our own shadows under Alan Irvine, and hopefully they will play the same way! S36 OWL
The comparison with Watford is interesting. we are having a very similar season to what they had last year . But to have a chance of a top two finish i feel we must beat Hull and Brighton .

Bluesteel
Brighton are a good side but not sure why we will drop off if they haven't. I think since Xmas we have looked as good as anyone in the top 4/5, the issue is we are now playing catch up
FlyingOwl
Love a good ego massage. I still can't see us quite challenging for the top two. Would need us to carry this on & an almighty roger up from one of Boro and Hull, and for Burnley/Brighton not to take advantage of that. But anything can happen, I suppose. simowl
Over the last 10 years the lowest number of points to get into secondis 81. If we maintain this form we'll get to 81. Average points over the last 10 years for second is 87.......so we'll have to maintain form plus win an extra 2 games. So yeh, ifs buts and maybes but can't help but feel that top two is going to be incredibly tough and agree that we're going to have to win two games out of Brighton, Hull and Derby plus maintain our current form. parkerowl
If we can win the next 3 games. The third being the Hull game then i believe we will do it. If things go our way we could be 1 point behind boro Sat.

Finney on the Wing
when are Hull and Brighton Boss? Friday 26th for Hull and Tuesday 8th March for Brighton - both really tough away tests. Everyone within listening distance of Carlos are just focusing on the 'next game' though so just ignore the two dates above......for now.
Buxtongent
Anyone see a comparison to our run from League 1, when our friends from across the City were points in front of us round about this time of the season? One may hope.

Inspector Lestrade
Think we are going to just miss out, finnish about 8th. We gave the leaders to much of a start and it will be a major achievement if we were to make the play offs. It means we can't afford a slight dip in form. This I fear will be our undoing. How the club has progressed in such a few months is fantastic. I hope people won't turn against the club if we do miss out. Fingers crossed I'm wrong.
