Sam Hutchinson's Injury Status

Recommended Posts

Sheffield Wednesday are optimistic Sam Hutchinson will recover quickly from his latest injury setback.

The versatile player was taken off mid-way through the first half of Saturday’s dramatic away win at Birmingham City because of a knee problem. Over the last 48 hours, Hutchinson has been receiving treatment from the Owls’ medical staff as he bids to prove his fitness ahead of Saturday’s Hillsborough showdown with Brentford.

Injuries have troubled Hutchinson throughout his career but the 26-year-old has flourished this season, chalking up 25 appearances in all competitions. His previous best in a campaign was 20 matches.

Coach Lee Bullen told The Star: “Sam can come off in a game and you think that is him out for three or four weeks but he then trains on a Monday morning. You just never know how he’s going to return from things.

“I think Sam has been told so many times in his career that he can’t train today or that he has to protect himself but we have we have pushed him a little more and it’s the most games he has ever started in a season.”

Owls youngster George Hirst was introduced as a second half subsitute in England Under-17s 2-0 loss to the Netherlands in the Algarve tournament yesterday.

Sorry but I think the comments about "amputation" and "leg fell off" are out of order. I know its said in jest but I remember Derek Dooley. Call me a miserable old bugger if you like, maybe I am.

Log off and log back on again with a different mindset dear Sir.

I used to take umbridge at certain posters when they'd extract the urine after i'd written a well balanced post.

Used to kick off but i was sick of receiving pics of old ladies with handbags or a caveman with a club so i just inhale/exhale thricely, pop my tablets then enter Owlstalk.

It's a much better place.
