Interesting corresponding table

Recommended Posts

We're on 30 games now.

And Boro have two games in hand...Brighton and Hull have one.

Still, a lot of football to play yet. A lot of wee wee tail ups can happen. Us included.

Most interesting thing from that table is that the top six was the same come the end of the season, just the order changed.

I hate to say it cos I don't want to make myself believe it and be left disappointed, but I do think we'll make the play offs now. Minimum.

Rather have the points on the table than games in hand

5 points and two games in hand and all that lol

We appear to be gaining momentum while one or two others are losing it

There's everything to play for

This is what I get a bit of a tingle about.

Watford from a similar position to ourselves this season took 39 out of a possible 51 points to get the 2nd spot.

You'd have to think that out of the current top 3 that one of those teams will finish top - my money would go on Burnley at the minute with their form, interestingly Boro now not won in 3 games.

Derby are a roll of the dice chance after today, Brighton are having a bit of a 2nd wind - we score a lot of goals which gives us a chance in every game.

I keep waiting for another blip but it ain't coming at the moment - I think playoffs will be a certainty - auto's a very good outside chance.

You may as well pull the 1953 table for what it matters, clubs fade away, clubs put on a run, clubs brick it. It's a totally pointless exercise.

Was just saying it was interesting, i wasn't saying it was going to happen for the second season running ;)

No need to get your knickers in a twist lol

Exactly my point :)

Absolutely, momentum is a valuable and sometimes unstoppable commodity, especially if the stories of us strengthening even more are true.

Who's to say it can't happen twice.

After a brill away day and win despite the adversity of the weather and 3 injuries to key players, we still deservedly won.

When was the last time that happened?
