bebby
The vast majority are hitting their 'peak' age. It's the sort of squad that should take 3/4 years to assemble yet we have done it (roughly) in one year. It will only improve. If we don't go to this year, we will be set fair for next year regardless of who comes down. Exciting times!
Holmowl
You are right, and its a sensible view to say that next year we would be in great shape to go up. However, with this squas and manager I cant help it but I would feel cheated if we are watching championsip footie next season.

You do realise that Derby, Boro, Hull and Burnley will all be looking at their squads in a similar way?
gurujuan
We do need to keep one eye on succession though Our experience has seen us few on quite a few occasions this season and it's good to have that type of know how in our back up squad. We will need to invest in younger players though, as it's unrealistic to expect the academy to fulfil all our needs. Hopefully in time, the academy can do better, and already the signs are good, but in the meantime, we might need to invest in some younger talent that we can bring through. Glad we resisted the temptation to go for the likes of Mike Williamson, if we were indeed ever in for him. Having three thirty something players competing for one position, doesn't really make sense to me

We are incredibly lucky to be seeing the sort of football we're being provided with this season. What a turnaround. Enjoy it. We've had 15 years+ of absolute shÃte. Let's hope for 15 years of entertainment ahead. Do not feel cheated.
S36 OWL
we need to keep looking ,and investing in the next generation, the players in their early 20`s to bring through as this current bunch get older. Ideally id love to see a regular supply line from our acadamy , but i think thats a fair way off yet.
