MartinOwlMan
Great result yesterday and I'm sure it helped that we wore the yellow kit - could FF have picked out the pass to Hooper as easily if he had been looking for his team mate in a black shirt with the backdrop of a crowd mostly wearing dark clothing and in fading light? I said it before already but I think the points we have gained wearing black away shirts over the years - even going back as far as the Waddle/Sheridan/Hirst era - has always been below expectation. I don't have the time to do any statistical work on this but I am sure if someone did it would show that our away points have dipped in comparison to home points when wearing black away shirts
Stoop
Good point, it'll be a lot easier to see a teammate in peripheral vision if they are wearing a bright colour Man City have been terrible away this season too, in an almost identical away kit to ours
bradowl
Much prefer the yellow kit.
StudentOwl
Love the design of the grey/black kit with the colour fading... would love to see it incorporated into a yellow away kit next season with a dark gold around the chest fading to a paler yellow further down the shirt. Definitely think there's something in the whole brighter shirt thing though... even if it only increases reaction times and peripheral vision by a tiny bit, those tiny fractions can be the difference between a win and a draw

Holmowl
Yellow for me. I agree blue black must be much harder to pick up against the crowd.
Southie_Owl
Makes you wonder why teams have green coloured kits, camouflage isn't the best place on a football field

nevthelodgemoorowl
We've had 16 years where our players haven't been able to pick a pass anyway so the statistical data wouldn't help much anyway. But I agree brighter is better.
OxOwl
Its got to have some effect for sure.remember Man U saying something years ago about changing the away kit as players could not see em against the crowds

mozzy85
Love that shirt. But to help our players go for yellow with purple vertical stripes like the 90's one. Beaut that one too.
