Most appearances, most time on pitch. Clearly a Carlos favourite and rightly so.

DoesNt have the outragous skill of Bannan or Fessi, nor the speed or physicality of Hutch, but what a player for us this season. And five goals from centre mid, including game changers like Huddersfield and again last night. Where on earth did he come from last night to be on the end of that knock down btw?

Underrated. i gave him 7/10 last night yet thinking back he never put a foot wrong, and scored the goal.

Top player. Really important.

Just love the fact that he has developed into this player for us. DJ wouldn't play him but SG got him going and CC has seen the class he has and utilises it. Keeps it simple and works hard and bangs in a few goals too.

This squad is really coming together.

Nobody else puts a harder shift in than him in the middle.

He really is a box to box player - he's in the opposing area one minute and defending back in ours the next. Bannan works hard, but I think Lee has that extra 10 percent - always chopping away at legs. Alright, he got booked for the late one last night, but that's because he pressed well.

Felt sure last night he would've found a pass instead of shooting for his goal...luckily he shot for once and found the net!

Vital player for us and has managed to not have any serious injuries this year, just hope he stays fit.

MOM last night for me. Can't remember him misplacing a pass and kept breaking up the Burnley attacks.

I went for Hutch but not wrong there. He go's about his business quietly and doe's the hard work that doesn't always get noticed. Reckon he'll finish on 9 goals this season. 10 if we get to playoff final

Quite probaarbly.

And given everything else that he contributes, that goal tally makes him a huge player.

If we were sniffing round a central midfielder during the window, who would be a definite starter, play every minute of every game, play with energy, desire and ability, then also add four or five goals between now and May, it would have generated quite a few pages.

Lee does the simple stuff but he does it really well. Doesn't often give the ball away attempting a Hollywood pass like Bannan or get a silly booking for taking someone out needlessly like Hutch. I bet if you look at the old ProZone stats he comes top for ground covered during games too. One thing he needs to improve is his goal return, but he's getting there with that too. He should be aiming for ten a season.

I thought him and Bannan got bullied out of it in the 1st half. We missed Hutchinson.

Trouble is - Hutchinson was our best defender as well.

...and here lies arguably the latest and greatest conundrum in terms of first team selection.  Who'd be a professional football manager?

Not comparing overall ability, but purely on goals scored, 5 in 29 matches this season is right up there for a central midfielder. Thats better than Shezza, Shelton, Megson, and they were decent goalscorers.

Ok you get freeks like Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard, but they played higher up the field.
