The pitch

Recommended Posts

I've read many posts about how it improves in the second year, that said I think for a seven figure outlay it's a little bit alarming how it looks. You could see it bobbling quite a bit tonight and we are a passing team after all

I'm sure CC won't be impressed

I'm not able to get to many games thsee days, but I noticed a comment by Sean Dyche about the pitch tonight.

"I think we arguably had the best chance of the game which we didn't take, but really both teams attempted to play on a really tough pitch. Overall, it was just about right."

Was the pitch bad? Surprising after spending so much on pre season on it. What's up with it? Or is it just one of those generic things that managers say after they haven't won?

Its really got nothing to do with Desso, I am sure their portion of the pitch, ie the plastic green bits are fine!!  The problem is with the seeding and bedding in of that grass.  We replaced the whole surface including most of the soil, then we played on it too early because we had no choice and now the winter has been awful rain wise.  We need more growing lamps and it needs a full summer of growth to be set for a full season.

I remember saying just three weeks ago that it looked from the highlights it was starting to bobble and got slated for it... since then it's had a spell of two weeks without a game on it. Now y'all are complaining that it's bobbly. Make up your minds ffs!  gary megson

"Y'all"?!
