Hooper

Matias-FF-Wallace

Bannan-Lee

Pudil-Lees-Turner-Hunt

Westwood

4-2-3-1

Is good enough to see us out of this division.

hutchinson for Lee

It is a very difficult one with Hutch, but Lee and Bannan have to play IMO.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hutch
~~~~~~~~~Lee~~~~~~~~~~Bannan

~~Wallace~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Forestieri

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hooper
That could work. But Hooper may need to play alongside someone.
Not when the opinion is based on a couple of months of games where the player was carrying a knock, playing in a team gelling together & getting used to a new country/language etc.
He scored twice and came damn close to scoring 3 times. The width of a post and he'd have scored 5 before his injury...even whilst not playing to his usual standard set in his native country.
We're now a completely different team. A settled team...a good footballing team. Matias will be massive for us.
Stop it everyone. You aren't entitled to your opinion. lol
Good news is Matias fit means Bannan can move more central where he is more effective. The bad news is Forestieri is more effective on the left. Matias could potentially be a really important player in the run in. He has to up his workrate though.
Either way what a problem to have, and now mcgeady is in the mix, our squad is ridiculously good. Our second string would survive the championship.
------Lee-----------Hutch------------Bannan------
--------------Matias---------Forestieri--------------
----------------------Hooper--------------------------
Will stand by this being the ideal midfield and attack when at home to sit in front of our back four. Matias and Forestieri can drift wide or narrow for space and to support Hooper, and Lee and Bannan have the workrate and ability to work the channels wide or narrow depending on the situation... with our full backs bombing forward we'd be near unplayable defensively. Wallace and Helan on the bench to enable us to go to a more rigid 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 if needed.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Matias start to play behind the striker and Forestieri on the left. Some quality on the ball there
--------------Lee---------------Bannan---------------
--McGeady----------Matias------------------Fessi--   (all interchanging)
----------------------Hooper---------------------------
Is also a delicious prospect.
It's all hypothetical, it's all on paper... but on the face of it either of the above two formations/teams give us one of the top 3 attacking forces in the Championship.
Matias has had one really good goal scoring season in his career. And he's come to a foreign country. We should be patient but there are no guarantees.
Owls starting line-up v @shrewsweb: Price, Palmer, Turner, Sasso, Bennett, Semedo, McGugan, Matias, Sougou, Hooper, Joao #swfcLIVE
