dunsbyowl
Hi, The East Midlands Owls have arranged for a minute's applause in memory of Darren Haigh @dazza_swfc4ever on the 28th minute of the Brentford home game on 13th February. You will recall Darren - a loyal Owl and Kop season ticket holder sadly lost his battle with cancer a couple of weeks ago. He had previously beaten the disease twice. Darren was a very special lad and an inspiration to all who met him at matches or engaged with him on twitter. Please lend your support and let's raise the roof for Daz! Just an update on the East Midlands Owls fundraising efforts for Darren Haigh's family. The campaign has has some fantastic support - Over £2,600 has been donated via the just giving site. https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/eastmidlands-owls Thanks so much for anyone who has donated and anyone else can spare a donation - however small it will be much appreciated. Cheers
Pompeyowl
Fantastic response so far. So many kind people have donated their hard worked for money and left some really kind, heart felt messages. For those of you on here that have donated, or are donating, we thank you. It's appreciated so much. I would also like to encourage everyone to take part in the minute applause. The man certainly deserves the recognition.

dunsbyowl
Hello everyone and fellow Sheffield Wednesday fans. I am auctioning this fully team signed Sheffield Wednesday home shirt, which is mounted and framed as you can see from the pictures. The dimensions are 190 cm wide and 70 cm deep so is a very impressive size to hang in a home, an office, a bar or a bedroom. There are 1-2 slight marks in the frame which could probably polish out, please remember this a fund raising/charity auction too. **Please note that this is a charity auction to raise funds for a fellow swfc supporter who sadly lost his battle against the evil disease of cancer** I didnt know Darren or never met him, however his story touched me and felt that this was a way of raising money for his family and young daughter as highlighted on the fundraising page. The link to the fundraising page is here, if you dont want to bid on this then please donate any spare money you can. https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/eastmidlands-owls The item is available to collect at my home or work in wakefield junction 38 of the M1, or i go to every home game so can meet before a home game if you want in person. Any questions at all please ask

Pompeyowl
This period has really shown the kindness of so many people. The comments on the donation page have been so touching and the way this auction has started has blown me away. The act of kindness from the person putting the item up for sale is incredible. Even more so because he'd never met Daz.

1884Owl
Unreal efforts going in. A lad on Facebook is selling a piece of his arm (his elbow) to the highest bidder to then have what ever the winner wants tattood on that area. Brave man! He's an Ipswich fan and a mate of Daz's. Currently standing at £150.00.
Pompeyowl
Post his name incase, on the off chance, somebody might fancy making a bid. I still think the Blades badge with two tugging willies in place of wonky swords is the best idea. Daz would love that. dunsbyowl
Just to report about 20 of us went to Daz's funeral in Haverhill Suffolk yesterday - an uterly amazing day - packed church with most of the folk there wearing Wednesday shirts and scarves etc. For a moment you coud be mistaken you were on a Wednesday awayday. The vicar paid tribute to Daz and his love and devotion to Sheffield Wednesday - finishing up with the words "Fly High Little Owl". I have never seen so many grown men crying. John Wozniak who many will know paid a fitting and emotional tribute of behalf of Wednesday fans 2 of our lads and posters on here PompeyOwl and 1884Owl helped carried his coffin and did an amazing job We met some fantastic people - a number of which are going to travel up for the Brentford game to join in the applause for Daz on the 28th Minute. I think after yesterday Haverhill will always be a little bit Wednesday and the Wednesday family has just got a little bit bigger. #FlyHighDaz #Daz28Minutes
