Road Runner
This should be played before the teams come out. It's about time we played our songs like West ham do. Get the crowd going.

TANGLED UP IN BLUE
Reit song OP, should be played before at some point and singing the blues straight after for me. It would be ace if just for one game they just ran down the tunnel straight onto the pitch roared on by the crowd, ni mind shaking hands that's for after. barn_owl
We used to play lots of Wednesday 'records' before the match but think it stopped a few years ago. I've been saying for a long time that we need something pre match and at half time to get the crowd going. Pre match we play music so loud it drowns out any atmosphere when really we should be playing Wednesday songs to generate atmosphere. Stadium announcer also has a big part to play. jellybean
My mate has the CD with the whole collection of naff but brilliant songs including we are the owls. We used to play it on the way to away games with 14 of us in a sooty and sweep van. Good times.
Pompeyowl
Used to love the early 2000s when we'd have 'Singing the Blues', 'We are the Owls' and the Vangelis song played before the 'Let's get ready to rumble' medley followed by 'Hi Ho'. Used to get me so amped up for the game. Shame the game was always an anti climax.
Finney on the Wing
With the 150th Anniversary approaching and with the wealth of musical talent in Sheffield who are Owls fans it may be the right time to rework some of these Owls songs and add a few more for an anniversary album. What about Arctic Monkeys doing 'Hi Ho Sheffield Wednesday', Paul Carrack 'I Love You Wednesday', Richard Hawley 'Singing The Blues' (would love to still have TC on the vocals though), John McClure & Jarvis Cocker with the Slow Club lass covering 'We Are The Owls'. Then everyone at the end doing the Hey Jude 'na-na-nar-narr, Wednesday' for twenty minutes. If there's anyone that could organize this it's got to be Neil........is he still here?....Neil? Dronfield Blue
The 'new' old badge would look great on the 1990-91 cup final kit as per bigdan's avatar. It's listed in the link below. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Sheffield_Wednesday/Sheffield_Wednesday.htm Edited January 29, 2016 by Dronfield Blue

This would be bob on! It's exactly the sort of thing we should be doing Just needs a few well connected bodies to get off their erses are make it happen. Trev at swfc could be a good contact from the club's pov, and yes, Neil knows the entire music universe

slow83
These old songs always build the atmosphere, we've had spells in the past where they've been played regularly but then dropped. Bring them all pack one after another in the run up to kick off. We have bucket loads of history it's time we used it!
