SiJ
Let's see how much the club rakes in on the new merch. At the bare minimum, it's not an attractive owl. Yes. Sure this will lead to financial oblivion for the club. No one will buy the new shirt due to the logo.
Sonny
What Everton was saying was no change just for the sake of change. So it's no change for the sake of change that equates to being a big premier league club, or having a modern badge?
happy bunny
Love the fact DC is making his mark yet again Carlos Investment Our future Its good to be an owl right now

darklord
Yes. Sure this will lead to financial oblivion for the club. No one will buy the new shirt due to the logo. Of course some won't if they think it looks naff. How many that is who knows
Socialist_Owl
So it's no change for the sake of change that equates to being a big premier league club, or having a modern badge? we had a logo tailor made for the Premier League, a vanguard of minimalist aesthetic... Absolutely and utterly perfect. Old enough to carry weight yet still modern to curry favour with future trends. Harry Potter Owl is just old for the sake of old. Socialist_Owl
It was bad enough on here with the ticket issue, now the badge we will have that many factions. Pro tickets, pro badge Pro ticket, anti badge Anti ticket, pro badge Anti ticket, anti badge And that's before we start diverging depending on truefan status or whether nuhui is good enough. Dread to think what will happen when Hillsborough gets renamed , heaven forbid.
SiJ
we had a logo tailor made for the Premier League, a vanguard of minimalist aesthetic... 21 posts and all of them have been about the new logo. Did you just sign up to vent? Bizarre. Did your design get rejected?

Sonny
we had a logo tailor made for the Premier League, a vanguard of minimalist aesthetic... But what's the answer to my question, as you seem to be in knots a little?
HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU
I'm glad we're getting rid of that god awful shield Although I don't mind the new crest I prefer the iconic owl on it's own, and hope we will still stock clothing with this crest I think I'm in a minority, because I love the round crest which is currently above the main entrance to the south stand Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife. joelswfc
Stan Collymore â€@StanCollymore 35m35 minutes ago Crest is from 1956 shirt so not “newâ€. Been told it’s for the 150th anniversary next year so I doff my cap to a great club/tradition.
SiJ
Of course some won't if they think it looks naff. How many that is who knows Over the years I have seen people continually buy some of the crappest home kits I've ever seen.

joelswfc
People, particularly English men and Yorkshiremen, don't like change. They will oppose to any change there is and moan about it. At least the only thing people can moan about is the badge because the football is chuffing brilliant.
Socialist_Owl
But what's the answer to my question, as you seem to be in knots a little? I am in a bit of a "knots". It seems to be a wholly misguided decision. History belongs in a museum. Not on a shirt.
Guest Ash76
I really like the Drake tattoo owl. That's a duck int it? Everyone on about branding, just so you know football clubs branding works slightly different. It's based on success
