Take it he lost. Maybe we're going to see a new renaissance in tennis in the next few years. Nadal recovering from foot surgery, Federer is not the force he was, Djokovic struggling at the moment, Murray maybe on the verge of retiring. The women's game the big players like Williams on the wane? Could be interesting times ahead? Time will tell.

He did, Medvedev didn't give Novak any chance, it's safe to say that this is his least favorite slam. Good thing about this US open is robotic line judges, Novak couldn't hit anyone this time!

To be honest, it's time for new generations to shine.

Novak, Rafa, Andy and Roger are in game too long. We should consider ourselves lucky to witness big four and some unforgettable matches between them. Del Potro and Wawrinka deserve mention too.

It doesn't really matter which one was personal favorite, I don't think that we will see so much quality in one place for such long period anytime soon.

Rumour doing the rounds that she'll be honoured by the queen in the new year's honours list.

Stupid idea.

Her achievement is quite remarkable, but in itself doesn't merit an honour. If she goes on to become a leading player, winning many grand slams in the process, then fair enough, but then the honour would be based upon a great career. Which is as it should be.

We do seem to scatter honours around like confetti these days.

Dame Emma or an OBE?

That should be saved for when she wins gold in Paris.
