agentwalker
Hunt wasn't fit, throwing up most of the first half. Still prefer him though

swfc-dan
Hunt is good attacking just very vulnerable defensively. Palmer is steady but never spectacular. I'd choose Palmer for now, a full back needs to be able to defend and Hunt just can't.

gurujuan
Yes Palmer, certainly. Think when Hunt is on song, he can be very effective going forward, but he hasn't done it for a while. As I said, surely there's no hurry to offer Hunt a deal. Let him prove himself first and assess at the seasons end

Imagine him facing wingers in the Prem if we got promoted... Pudil is the player who needs to be signed up, been outstanding for us. And then find someone of a similar ilk at RB! Ian
Hunt was our biggest threat going forward in the first half and quite often is....have him every time over Palmer, throwing up or not

He might run forward with pace but his delivery is poor everytime. For someone so poor at the back theyrrally need to extra good going forward. He really isn't. joelswfc
Hunt first choice, need better cover for the position though to push Hunt more. Need someone defensively solid with pace.

I feel about sorry for the full backs, they were signed to be attacking full backs in a system that had the security of a defensive midfielder Now they don't have that. Errol Flashman
I don't think it's as simple as Hunt not playing well. I think one of the problems is that Pudil and and especially Hunt are very attack minded. No problem when Hutch was playing the spare man in the centre of middle and dropping back when those two bomb on , essentially meaning we had a back three. Meaning two markers and a spare, or one marker and two able to sweep out to the flanks to cover. When we have Bannan and Lee in the middle though and don't have Hutch in his blockers role then I think that we're always going to be exposed to a certain extent, and certainly more than the other system. It's the gamble you take when your play a more attacking system. I think that without a sitting player then you certainly need to have full backs with a bit more defensive nous than when you play 5 in the middle. In that sense Palmer is possibly a better option as Hunt essentially plays like a winger. As i said, it's a gamble you take. In terms of scoring goals it's paying off. But conceding sloppy ones soon starts to put pressure on your forwards to make sure they put chances away. Just a bloke. Being dragged along in a world that moves too quick for it's own good.
