areNOTwhatTHEYseem
New year, new Wednesday. Let's hope Carlos' new year's resolution was to turn around our away form, starting today. With the two teams below us and the two teams above us playing each other, a win would be most welcome. I'll go for a 3-1 Wednesday win.

Orlando_Trustful
All the hallmarks of a comfortable defeat today. Fulham are good value at nearly 3/1, the smart money is definitely on them. Cambs Owl
Excellent OMDT. Will be setting off soon - usually a good day out this one. Feeling optimistic that we will get at least a point today. UTO

airborne_rat_of_s6
Didn't realise our record against them was so poor. Hopefully start putting that right today. Field our best 11 then hopeful of success. Draw would be ok.
FAT OWL
Great OP And next week a reminder of the Crave Cottage 3rd round match and although we won more comfortably that the 3-2 scoreline suggests it was the coldest match day I can ever remember. Francaise De La Tour watched from the stands and would have frozen her little **** off were it not for the giant fur coat she was wearing. Coach home we were well past Luton turn off before we gradually began to warm up. For the record minus 6 c with a gentle breeze in off the Thames. '84? It was freezing, and an early attempt at "bouncing" singing "keeping warm, keeping warm, keeping warm" at half time.

dmw
We have played well at times this season but never better than when playing 4-4-2 in our last two home games. I really think CC should try sticking with this as our preferred formation both home and away. It is working at home and we do need to be doing something to change our away form. We are very strong with 2 up front and FF in left side midfield plus BB as holding midfielder (while Hutch is needed in defence). No reason why we couldn't go with this away. The idea would be to stay on the front foot. Fulham score lots of goals but may find that hard to do if their defence is kept constantly uncomfortable. Rotherham made the mistake of easing off after equalising, having earlier put the Fulham defence under pressure. We should learn from that and make sure the Fulham defence is kept off balance from the off. We will score and their attack will be compromised by having to work harder to support their defence. We need to have faith that our attack can do more to upset their defence than their attack can do to ours. Let's go for it and we can win this. Try to sit back and defend and we will lose. Against Boro we did not have the personnel available to play this way. For this game (assuming we have Hooper, Hutch and 90 mins of FF available) we certainly should. theowlsman
I'm still recovering from New Year's Eve. With the slight twitch in my todger, I'm predicting a narrow victory. May the force be with us.

Spot on; trying to keep it tight invariably leads to us falling behind, so we may as well start on the front foot, rather than trying to launch another rescue mission. We haven't lead away from home since the Rotherham game on 23rd October and it's about time we put this right.
