Whitechapel Owl
Thought I'd start a new thread for this as its now 2016. Happy New Year to all. We have a new leader, Fernando has been MOM in the last 4 games and received hundreds of votes for the Wolves and Birmingham game. Bannan still sits in second despite just 1 goal and zero assists. For anyone who hasn't seen this before, the table is sorted by VPM (votes per minute) which is the total number of votes received divided by the number of minutes on the pitch. The AVPG column is average votes per game.

Whitechapel Owl
Interesting reading. Cheers, must take aaaaages? Nah, not too long, been filling it in steadily through the season. Once the spreadsheet was set up its just a case of adding the votes under each game.

areNOTwhatTHEYseem
There's something satisfying about seeing Westwood and Lees so far down the rankings after voting them as man of the match week after week last season. It says a lot about how far we've come in a very short period. Edited January 2, 2016 by areNOTwhatTHEYseem

areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Or worrying we ship so many goals and our defence are at the lower end of the rating We've only conceded seven goals more than this time last season. Given the complete philosophy shift that has taken place to allow us to attack more fluently and add seventeen goals to our tally from the same stage last year, it's not so bad. HirstWhoScoredIt
Interesting. For next season, I think it would be fairer to calculate it as follows:- 100 points available each match. 1 point given for each percent of the vote they get. This is fairer because for instance, away at Cardiff may attract 300 votes. Home v Arsenal 1,000 votes. Therefore, it unfairly weights towards the MOM in the games where more fans attended. Northern Owler
Whoscored ratings have 4 of the top 5 same as you. Their ratings go... Fernando Forestieri Tom Lees Barry Bannan Sam Hutchinson Kieran Lee Totally different methodology but I love ratings however they are calculated.
