camffiti
As I said in September ... Joao will only be here a year So contingency plans have to be in place Would be nice to have both Joao & Rhodes for 6 months though
asteener1867
Can you imagine striker options of Hooper, Foresteri, Lucas and Rhodes? Be worth being 3-0 down at half time just to watch the fun second half

slinger208b
I wouldn't let Joao go, and more importantly, we don't have to. Rhodes could take Hooper's place if he goes back More importantly, he might want to...

aeroswfc
Lucas Joao. One will be classed as a Premier League player and It ain't Rhodes.
frastheowl
Joao hands down. He's going to become a player who reaches far greater heights than Rhodes has/or will.

Blue n White Rampage
IF, you could only have ONE of the two after Christmas... rhodes or joao, who would you choose... a) sell joao and raise (hopefully) half the cash to buy rhodes? or, b) stick with him, his star and price is rising? IF, you could only have ONE of the two after Christmas... rhodes or joao, who would you choose... a) sell joao and raise (hopefully) half the cash to buy rhodes? or, b) stick with him, his star and price is rising? that's not how chansiri operates, we're keeping joao, we'll have rhodes and we'll take ronaldo on loan till the summer seen as though he's not happy where he is. wawaw
Yeahman
Although the thought of it is fantastic, there is no way on this earth we are siging Jordan Rhodes in January

moralturpitude
Watching the spurs v west ham game yesterday I was pondering who would turn out to be the better striker, Joao or Kane (only 2 months between them in age)... ?
Big Jack
At the moment Rhodes is the man with track record of guaranteed goals LJ has the potential to be top player however if he achieves it sadly it. wont be with us. I get the feeling he has a release option if a premier club comes in .CC need to find more like this
capetownowl
it's incredible how many think Joao will be gone come summer. The club have ambition, no need to sell. The player is enjoying himself and has fellow Portuguese speaking coach and players around him. He is on a long contract. He is not big headed and knows he has a lot to If he moves it will be the following year if we are not promoted. If we are promoted within 2 years his contract will be extended. The Dukeries Owl
Joao has the X-Factor that the other options don't have which is blistering place to go with all his other attributes. What's the old saying, you only need to get half a yard: Jordan Rhodes gets his space with his head, Joao can do either. That's what found Stevie May out, he just couldn't get away from a defender no matter how good his runs were.
Blue and white
Very very tough question, on one hand you have the best championship striker in recent years who consistently hits 20+ goals a season, on the other hand you have a quality young striker with bags of potential and keeps getting better and better.
