30,000+ - The remarkable run continues

Recommended Posts

Oh man that Palace game. Still get a hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach. Had a 'moment' around 80th minute where I had to ram my scarf in my gob to keep from losing it. (A moment that lasted about another half an hour*, as it turned out.)

*and another five seasons, give or take

Crowbarring it in a bit here but I reckon the last side from outside Sheffield to taste victory in front of a 30,000+ crowd at Hillsborough in a league match outside the top flight was Burnley in 1972.

Trust the pigs to taint the run twice in the noughties.

Hillsborough and Elland road both sold out to home fans tomorrow, there will be 1,000 Wolves fans at Hillsborough and 400 Rotherham fans at Leeds.

Ps apparently some of those 400 Rotherham tickets have been purchased by Leeds fans living in our area.

1-0 defeat, Leighton Rees second half winner, one of my early memories sat in the kid seats in the south stand
