Believe he's enjoying the results of investment in the squad,rather than his ability. To me he doesn't have the presence of a charlton, Wilkinson or Atkinson. He looks like a sky tv presenter. We're playing fantastic football. First half was even. A standard cagey derby affair, but we started to take control in the final 10 minutes. Second half we dominated. As he says, the way the team recovers in organized formations when we lose possession is becoming more and more evident rather than just piling back. He's creating a machine of a team. Well done Carlos - very impressive in a very short space of time. The players are starting to understand. Their goal came from Bus not picking up his man - clearly short of match practice and not on the same wavelength as the other players who are drilled in defending the in-swinging set pieces. Having been lucky enough (or old enough) to see the early 90's team I would agree that tonights performance was well short but it was probably one of the best performances in the last 15 years, you need to start to see that we are (albeit slowly) moving forward..l Cheer up, accept it, and try to enjoy, we all expect us to feck it up...
