Ah so this is part of the catch for spending money.

Unfortunately if you want to spend money now you have sell your soul in the process.

That looks hideous and to have the club badge associated with a company like that is really really sad.

Perhaps we should send some of the players back who we are clearly never going to use and tell zebra to keep their bin liner

I suppose it comes down to whether you are the kind of person who would prefer the club was about sport and the local community or whether you actually like modern football and want it to be about money and taking the highest bid from whoever offers it regardless of who they are or what they do. ..

Yep. I fully understand the need to raise money through sponsorship but the nature and location of it are quite important.

This is just a step below renaming the stadium and looks even worse than the sports direct tat they have all over St James park

I can see why we need to "move with the times" but if people welcome this and don't see this as a sign of how low things have got in the game then IMO it's part of the problem.

Compensation companies suck donkey wee pipe.

So what if Wednesday get some cash from a company like this, its cash input.

No offence, if you don't like this kind of company - don't go to places like cash converters, payday loan companies or brighthouse. I wonder how many of those up in arms use these kind of companies?

I certainly don't.

But they usually pray on people who don't have much choice.

Just wait for the first media reference to the disaster off the back of this

Unless you are happy to have witnessed the dross over the last 15 seasons and are comfortable watching the once mighty Sheffield Wednesday Football Club flounder in the 2nd and 3rd divisions, then i am astounded you've even asked that!

If it takes the 'modern way' way for us to compete again, so be it.

It's hard to call us mighty when we pull stunts like this though. How many of the bigger clubs in the country with the exception of Newcastle have done it with such a brand?

This is like something Rotherham or tranmere would resort to five years ago

This is only the "modern way" for those that are desperate

Having seen it in the flesh, albeit in the dark last night, my main thought is 'is advertising like this worth it?' To the company I mean. It's huge, it will have cost a lot. Will it generate enough money to pay for itself?

I'm struggling to think of a time when I used a specific product due to seeing an advert. As opposed to just needing summat and buying it. Maybe I'm swayed and don't realise it, but huge ads like this always seem a bit much to me.

Hope the club has received enough money, or can show that it received enough, to satisfy ffp. Cos you just know that if we breach that the rules will be changed just before we get our punishment.

It's a very very good deal for the club

As someone said way back prime advertising space on one of the main roads in and out of the city alone is expensive but include the attachment to the club and an iconic stand increases it significantly
