The Lost Soul
When will this be officially confirmed and announced? I want to get back to officially "hating" May but I made the pledge not to criticise him while he is a Wednesday player. I made the same pledge with Nuhiu - its driving me fvvcckking crazy!!! Same here. It's got to the point with Nuhiu where I praise him for breathing just to not sound negative at games.
IstillhateSteveBould
Funny thing is, if May had come through our youth ranks and last season had been his first at this level, I'm sure most would see it as a ridiculous time to sell. It's a poor decision that we will regret as we have done on so many other occasions. Purely from a financial aspect, money back plus add ons that could take it to £1.5m at least means we aren't just giving him away.

Note: I have numbered your points so I can comment on them (you don't have to thank me): 1. Excellent point - I absolutely agree 2. I disagree. Firstly, you will have to be able to know the future to state this and secondly, May hasn't delivered for us in terms of goals - you can put whatever spin you want to on this (and blame Nuhiu or May's other teammates if you like) but in pure terms of "ball in the back of the net", May scoring less than ten is not delivering. It maybe unfair to judge him in those terms but he was brought in as a player to score goals we needed now and not "one for the future". 3. Excellent point - I absolutely agree
Guest
Incredible deal for us. He must have the weakest shot I've ever seen on a striker. Not just that, the amount of times he mis-hit a shot when well positioned was so frustrating. He may do better for PNE if he can get a run in the side but he started this summer at Hillsborough with the new set up under a clean slate and failed to make enough of an impression to get anywhere near the team. To get our money back on a player who has failed to prove he can make it at this level seems fair enough to me. What would those saying its a poor price expect us to fetch for him? SallyCinnamon
Lucas Joao. Called up to the Portugal squad twice by the age of 21. He will thrive off pressure. Will be class for us this season.
Beholder
Best of luck Stevie, you were never given a fair chance under CC.He has been given a chance at Wednesday.Didn't have what it takes.

Will be class for us this season. I really like Joao. But... 1. Age is the only possible comparison between the 2 2. You don't know if he will thrive off pressure (hopefully will) 3. He won't have the pressure of being our main man anyway

Hopefully. Though there is pressure, and there is quiet muttering Hillsborough and the odd disjointed parp from the band pressure. Sure he'll do ok for us in the away games though. Excellent point - I absolutely agree. May needs more time to prove himself - he doesn't appear to have that luxury at Hillsborough and IMHO, he's miles away from the first team ATM. It was wrong to thrust such responsibility upon him.

We beat Rotherham to sign him. Was given a decent run last year and was on the outer under Gray by the end of it. CC and coaches have had two months to assess his ability and potential and the verdict is in. The Scottish Premier Leauge is Pants We are far more ruthless and ambitious than i thought we would be which doesn't always mean we'll make the right the decision but it's full steam ahead. danblakemore
I always thought we got swept up in a bidding war with Rotherham for a very average player. Get our money back and move on . We are better than May now.
MikeJ
Under a million quid for a 22 year old Scottish international who 12 months ago was scoring in the Europa League, with 3 years still left on his contract. I think we've sold ourselves well short I don't completely disagree, but one cap for Scotland and a goal in a Europa League qualifier is hardly the stuff of legend. Best of luck to him, but I think we'll be fine.

dan140177
Technically, if a player who can deliver 20 League goals in a season is worth £10m+, 7 for £2m is a bargain. WE'VE BEEN RIPPED OFF, 3.5 minimum on this basis!!
DJMortimer
Better striker than Nuhiu, Lavery and Bus for me. Baffling decision. In his last 42 appearances, Atdhe Nuhiu has scored 8 goals. In the 42 before that he scored 10. You and others have claimed that is a lousy return and justifies his removal as soon as possible and countless threads slagging him off whether he plays well or not. Just for context, May scored 7 in his 42 games for Wednesday (two thirds of them starts).
