Westfield Owl
That fee is nothing in today's market. Not exactly talked ourselves into a good deal there.
Kopparberg
From Yorkshire transfers DONE DEAL: Stevie May joins Preston for an initial £800k but could rise up to £1.5m with add ons. #swfc #pnefc Is this FACT !?
Hack-Abusi
probably end up 4th choice at Preston!
oldishowl
May will do better with regular games and will score some goals for Preston if he does play regularly and as usual people on here will use every goal as a stick to beat the club with. He did nothing in his time with us to increase his value and getting our money back with add ons is a decent deal. From our perspective if we have ambition to get promoted he is not that standard so the move is best for everyone
F. Spiksley
£500k with sell on clause. Maximum we can expect.
Lord Snooty
£2m? Nothing. What price the safety of this fair City.
soldierboyblue
Preston are believed to have offered an initial fee of £800,000 with a number of future add-ons. From the Scottish Paper Press and Journal
BRUCE LEE
That fee is nothing in today's market. Not exactly talked ourselves into a good deal there. Why? We got our money back and flicked all the risk we took on him proving himself at this level to Preston If he does, he does but I saw nothing to think he will perform consistently in the championship Like a spaniel chasing a tennis ball
The Lost Soul
I think it's a fair deal. May hasn't set the world alight - ignoring the poor service last season or lack of game time this season. I believe we've upped our game in terms of transfer recruitment and he's the first casualty of it. I wanted him to do well, more so because of the fee we paid for him, but it just hasn't worked out. Good luck to the lad.
adelphi1867
Maybe by putting a £2m price tag on May the club are saying he is not for sale. He has 3 years left on his deal with us and personally I would keep him till Joao begins to realise his potential.

oh_weds_we_love_you
It is also much quicker to drive back to Scotland from Preston Train is quick and cheap too - usually £20 return from Preston to Glasgow and only takes a couple of hours! JoshTheOwl
We need to stop buying players from Scotland. May as well raid the conference North.
Orlando_Trustful
Incredible deal for us. He must have the weakest shot I've ever seen on a striker.
shandypants
When will this be officially confirmed and announced? I want to get back to officially "hating" May but I made the pledge not to criticise him while he is a Wednesday player. I made the same pledge with Nuhiu - its driving me fvvcckking crazy!!! Lord Snooty
We need to stop buying players from Scotland. May as well raid the conference North. Not a bad idea. Dwight Gayle , who most on here would like us to get in was playing for Stansted in the Essex Senior League 4 years ago.
