OzOwl
Love that we are no longer taking it up the clacker, you want him you pay for him! http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/sheff-weds/sheff-weds-news/sheffield-wednesday-owls-slap-price-tag-on-stevie-may-as-own-striker-hunt-continues-1-7437004? new zealand owl
but no-one will pay that for him. I would be delighted if we got back the 800k for him or whatever it was. we just need to get rid of him and move quickly on
alanharper
A £2m asking price for Stevie May is the reason why when the window closes he'll still be a Wednesday player. If we got our £800k back I'd be happy with that for a very average at best Championship striker.

S36 OWL
If we got £2m for May we would have had someones pant down .
Brianmcgee
We don't need to sell, we're minted remember. I think a loan would do May a whole world of good, even if it's to Scotland.
PeakOwl
Its probably only in line with the over-inflated prices being asked for some of our targets (good players though they may be). I also think there'll be a difference between what club's publically say they want for players and what they'll actually end up accepting (the number of deals going through as undisclosed points to this). BRUCE LEE
Pricing him out of a permanent move so that clubs will pay up for a loan Hopefully Preston will nibble Pointless having him sat in the stands

Bluesteel
Suggests we want to loan him and develop him. Or make a big profit. Makes sense

Guest
800k nothing too us now. i believe he has a lot of potential and could be a v good striker. needs more match time loan out to Preston best option or sell for 2m
arithmetic
Technically, if a player who can deliver 20 League goals in a season is worth £10m+, 7 for £2m is a bargain.
alanharper
To get anything above £800k for who (if we sign another striker today) would effectively be our 7th choice forward and has shown little sign of having any of the attributes required for a decent Championship striker would be decent business. £2m would be hilarious. PeteG_1984
If we got £2 million for May it would be a psychological turn around and polar opposite of what we did in the late 90's. Making a profit on a player without him actually rising in value; the opposite of what happened with Emerson Thome. Can't see anyone paying that though
SallyCinnamon
Signing for Preston. Hope it don't bite us in the arse.
